Leo is a surprise because I wasn’t expecting Redford to get snubbed or Hanks (as much as I dislike him) for Captain Phillips. And Jonah Hill has zero nominations for that performance, but he gets an Oscar nom? Crazy. The biggest disgrace is not having Emma Thompson on that list. Sure, Meryl is great, but the movie was awful and her performance was not amazing. And no Joaquin Phoenix? Shameful.
Nice to see Bruce Dern and Jared Leto get a nom though.
Yeah… I thought Emma Thompson for sure. I really was rooting for her.
