Alien 5 News! Sigourney Weaver Is Back! Will The New Film Ignore The Events Of Alien 3 And Alien Resurrection?

It looks like the Alien rumor mill is going full steam ahead.

So much talk and so much excitement. Several outlets are reporting that the new Alien film is going to ignore the events of Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection. Now, no one knows if this is true exactly but it is exciting.

Personally, I think it would be hard to ignore the last two movies. Alien 3 while not the best it certainly wasn’t bad. In fact, I think I might watch it again. Now Alien Resurrection… That was bad.

I’m so excited to se what Neill Blomkamp is going to do with the series however.

One thing that has been confirmed is that Sigourney Weaver is back! YAY!

Neil was talking to French site Allocine and said…

“I’m not trying to undo ‘Alien 3′ or ‘Alien Resurrection… My favorites are the first two movies. I want to make a film that’s connected to ‘Alien’ and ‘Aliens’. That’s my goal.”

It’s going to be interesting to see where all this goes. But no matter what, I’m really excited!
