Box Office Breakdown! Ant-Man Still On Top! Pixels Bombs! Paper Towns Soft! Southpaw Number Five! And More!
The final numbers won’t be in until tomorrow, but early estimates have Ant-Man inching ahead for the win with $24.7 million.
Pixels got a high score in second place with $24.0 million.
Minions served up $22.1 million at number three.
Trainwreck slowed down a bit at number four with $17.3 million.
Southpaw got knocked out, opening at number five with $16.5 million.
Paper Towns was blown away, opening at number six with just $12.5 million.
Inside Out was still feeling good at number seven with $7.3 million.
Jurassic World still had some bite at number eight with $6.9 million.
Mr. Holmes sleuthed his way up to number nine with $2.8 million.
Rounding out the top ten was Terminator: Genisys with $2.4 million and a disappointing domestic run of just $85.6 million.
