Box Office Breakdown! War For The Planet Of The Apes Opens At Number One! The Big Sick Rises! Transformers Tumbles! And More!

War for the Planet of the Apes conquered the top spot opening with $56.5 million.

Spider-Man: Homecoming swung into second place with $45.2 million.

Despicable Me 3 was very respectable at number three with $18.9 million.

 

Baby Driver got ticketed at number four with $8.7 million.

 

The Big Sick got better, moving up to number five with $7.6 million.

 

Wonder Woman was still in charge at number six with $6.8 million.

Wish Upon had a nightmare opening at number seven with $5.5 million.

 

Cars 3 got a flat at number eight with $3.1 million.

 

Transformers: The Last Knight was alienated at number nine with $2.7 million.

 

Rounding out the top ten was The House with $1.7 million.
