as the leads in the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” film did not sit well with fans, who immediately launched an online petition for producers to recast the roles with “White Collar” star Matt Bomer

and Alexis Bledel,

best known for “Gilmore Girls.” As of 9 a.m. PT Friday, the change.org petition had garnered nearly 64,000 signatures. Needless to say, Ben Bat-fleck is thrilled to relinquish the title of most-reviled casting announcement of 2013.

One person definitely not signing the online petition: Melanie Griffith, mother of Dakota (dad is Don Johnson).

In fact, Melanie cursed at a fan, via Twitter, who blasted the casting choice: “Wow! You’re quite the b**** aren’t you? #dontmesswithmama” That’s right, Mel! You tell ‘em! Stand by your daughter as she gets whipped, bound and spanked into cinematic sadomasochism.

Do you have Ryan Gosling in your heart? Well, you can also have him on your ears. I know, I know…deep, calming breaths.
