I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love Sons of Anarchy… Seriously. It’s one of the best shows on television. When I heard that they were filming on location, My friend Scott and I had to go.
Scott really wanted to meet Charlie Hunnam (who doesn’t) and get a photo with him.
We headed down to the filming location and finally found parking. They were filming a pretty big shoot out scene on the downtown location and I heard that they were here for a couple days.
On location it didn’t look good. Charlie was around but he wasn’t being super social and there were about 45 people hanging about. That’s a lot for a filming location, I can see one or two but 45… Damn…
We waited quite a while, I saw Frank, chatted with him. I didn’t really see any other cast members milling about, which I thought was slightly odd.
And then we saw Charlie start to leave. We called out and he waved and hopped on the bus to head to basecamp. We walked over to where the basecamp was and waited.
People were not that friendly with each other. There was yelling, and racial slurs being tossed around. Oh, it was on. One woman was like, “hold my purse… I’m going to fight.” I was like, Who wants to come over during all the chaos? Sigh…
We saw Charlie Hunnam and he said something to security and then he came over. They said one by one and he started taking pictures, he was really nice and it was fairly calm shockingly.
Scott got his sad photo flop, which you can read about here. Oh… I’m still hearing about that, let me tell you.
When it was my turn, security said, “Okay, Charlie’s not going to get to everyone.” I’m like, wow… way to incite chaos security.
I didn’t go for the photo because Scott ran away once his was taken, so I had Charlie sign my British GQ Magazine.
He was really nice and signed for about half the crowd there.
And then like Jax Teller sped off on his bike.
I was happy with my magazine even though I’m still hearing about that photo flop!
Until next time kids…
