Eraserhead’s David Lynch stops to sign for fans!

It’s a blistery blistery windy day and Erica thought it would be fun, or rather interesting to try and get director David Lynch to sign her Twin Peaks postcard set from the gold box version of the series. I thought about it for a second and said sure. I’ve always been a fan of David Lynch since I was a kid, and I had this Eraserhead poster to get him on. Plus my friend Vanessa is obsessed with the Elephant Man so I thought I would try and get something for her… so off to Hollywood we go!

4:31 p.m. – David is doing a Q and A today after a screening of Eraserhead and since it’s a pretty low key event Erica thought it would be a good place to try and meet the director.

4:36 p.m. – Twin Peaks is one of my favorite shows, and BOB scares the crap out of me to this day… I mean scares the crap out of me… Ah… mental image… if you have seen Twin Peaks, you know the scene I’m talking about.

4:38 p.m. – I just got chills…

4:40 p.m. – He should be in anytime. Security is walking around eyeing us… lol… We look like such hoodlums you know…

4:41 p.m. – I was told I just LOL too much… so now I’m paranoid that I’m using it, oh God Bless it.

4:43 p.m. – Every time we’ve been going out lately we’ve gotten the shaft… so it would be nice to actually get David Lynch. Lost Highway, no wait Mulholland Falls… that’s my favorite David Lynch movie… yeah… But in Lost Highway I thought Robert Blake was the creepiest thing ever… the phone scene for some reason just makes my skin crawl.

4:45 p.m. – A woman with flaming red hair keeps driving her classic car around… lol… It’s cool looking but like really?

4:48 p.m. – Oh, she’s parking… random.

4:50 p.m. – We are literally the only ones here… It doesn’t shock me, because it wasn’t publicized that much but still I figured someone would have caught on.

4:55 p.m. – The way we figure it, David has to be in by around five so it should be anytime…

4:56 p.m. – One of the event staff is now standing in the street looking for his car. So, I can assume he’s on his way… lol…

4:58 p.m. – Oh, a car just pulled by, the window was rolled down and David Lynch was on our side smoking a cigarette. It was like a scene out of a movie. Lol…

5:00 p.m. – Erica and I called out and ask David if he would mind signing… He says, sure but I’m in a hurry. He signs my poster, and then Erica’s postcard and I also got him on an Elephant Man mini poster for my friend Vanessa. He was very nice, not chatty but very nice and cordial. I like easy days like this, lol… now why can’t every event go that smooth?
