Canucks hilariously autograph toddler at season-ticket event

When NHL teams invite their season-ticket holders to meet the players, it’s a chance for die-hard fans to get their most cherished possession autographed by their hockey heroes.

Which, in the case of one Vancouver Canucks fan, meant their toddler.

At the team’s season-ticket event on Rogers Arena on Saturday, this lucky fan was passed along a table featuring Daniel Sedin (or Henrik … I’m sure someone can confirm or correct) and Bo Horvat, who gladly signed the child.

George Foreman was a champ with an autograph request

I recently attended a dinner to benefit a chapter of the Boys & Girls Club, not only to support that very worthwhile organization, but also because George Foreman was the guest speaker.

Being a fan of the relaxed, retired, happy and smiling Foreman, I brought along an 8×10 photo of one of his fights against Muhammad Ali, with the hope of getting him to autograph it.

Paul Pierce signed an autograph for a fan in the middle of a game

In the Wizards game against the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this week, a young fan in a Celtics jersey caught Paul Pierce’s eye during the fourth quarter. Pierce had an incredible game, putting up 25 points including some important baskets in the second half. So instead of putting all of his focus on the last minute of the game that the Wizards were winning, he motioned the fan over and signed a pair of sneakers she had.
