Lions CB Darius Slay will demand Peyton Manning’s autograph if he intercepts him
Third-year cornerback Darius Slay picked up his third career interception against Philip Rivers in the Lions’ opener against the Chargers.
If No. 4 comes Sunday against Peyton Manning, he’ll be armed and ready.“I’m letting him know now, if I get a pick from him, he’s got to sign that,” Slay told Detroit media Wednesday. “He gotta sign that. I gotta have that. Signature, right then, on the spot. I’m going to have the pen in my pocket. I’m going to his sideline if I do it, like, hey, holler at me.
Stephen Curry signs autograph, memorabilia deal with Fanatics Authentic
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has signed an exclusive autograph and memorabilia deal with Fanatics Authentic, an arm of Fanatics, the nation’s largest seller of licensed merchandise.Terms of the multiyear deal were not disclosed.
Fanatics did a one-off signing with Curry and observed his appeal firsthand.”There was no question that after the MVP and the title, the velocity of orders picked up,” said Victor Shaffer, executive vice president of Fanatics Authentic. “But we also saw that his fan base was expanding way beyond his traditional markets.”
Yogi Berra’s passing rekindles memories of collecting his autograph
This morning I read about the death of Yogi Berra. With his passing, some of my fondest memories of childhood returned.
I didn’t know of him when my father took me to my first baseball game in 1970. The San Diego Padres were hosting the New York Mets, and I was 10 years old. I don’t recall the game or who he was, but Yogi Berra’s was the first autograph I collected.
Pope Francis’s Autograph Is Selling for Big Bucks
“Cool Pope” Francis’s popularity is clearly high. He has 7.21 million followers on Twitter. Entrepreneurs have rolled on a zillion pope-related gifts and collectibles to sell in celebration of his visit to America. His visit to the U.S. this week has is even delaying the iPhone 6s release in ZIP codes he touches.
Carly Fiorina Signs Autograph On A Fan’s Forehead At Campaign Event
Carly Fiorina got the rock star treatment at a campaign event on Wednesday, when an eager male fan asked the Republican to sign his forehead.
It was clearly an unconventional request for the former Hewlett-Packard CEO, who asked to clarify: “What do you want me to do?” The exchange was captured by New York Times reporter Nick Corasaniti.
Marshawn Lynch allegedly threatened young autograph seekerLynch was in Wisconsin with his Seattle Seahawks this weekend to take on the Green Bay
Packers on Sunday night, and he apparently did not enjoy the attention he drew walking down the street. He supposedly was icy towards the autograph seekers and told them to “back up off me.”
Autograph Hunting, Cosplay, And Comics At Cincinnati Comics Expo
If crowded hallways and customer-filled vendor booths were any indication, this year’s Cincinnati Comic Expo was a huge success. When I arrived at the show, the first thing I did was find Adam West’s line, to get the worst of the waiting over with. Mr. West’s autograph is not inexpensive, and since Saturday was West’s 87th birthday, I’m not sure how many more public appearances are in his future. By the look of him, many, many more! Finding the end of his autograph line (halfway across the exhibit hall), I settled into what looked like an hour wait. I planned to choose a two-shot photograph of Batman and Robin from West’s table and have Burt Ward (Mr. Robin the Boy Wonder to you) sign it as well.
