Godzilla Movie Premiere! Elizabeth Olsen! Aaron Taylor-Johnson! Ken Watanabe! And Bryan Cranston Disses! Doh! Autographs! And More!

When it comes to premiere’s there are good ones, amazing ones and sort of duds. I mean… It’s interesting, you just never know. An event that you think is going to be great… Disaster. Or one that you think is going to be boring, it could be awesome. You just never know.

Today, The Other Mike and I headed out to Godzilla. I’m here pretty much for one person… That person… Juliette Binoche. I’ve loved Juliet Binoche for years, Chocolate is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I’ve never seen her… EVER!

Just like Susan did with Tom Welling a week or so ago, you have to take a chance right?

I loaded up my Chocolate mini poster that already has Johnny Depp on it, and walked out the door. I also have other stuff of course, but I wouldn’t have gone it it wasn’t for Juliette Binoche.

I arrived in the heart of Hollywood and Ian was nice enough to save us spots. It wasn’t too hot, wasn’t too cold, and I admit I’m a tad cranky. I dunno. I’m just not feeling this today. Not sure if it’s the lack of a star studded cast, or my feeling that Juliette Binoche wouldn’t show, or being irritated earlier in the day.

It could be I-Miss-Theo-Itis. I’ve had that since Tues.

Still, I plunder on.

The carpet’s not set up yet, and it looks pretty cool. I’m not sure about Bryan Cranston, I have my Breaking Bad barrel set, but he’s been kind of difficult lately. I know he’s been getting killed by the autograph airport people (at least so I hear) but you never know. It’s a premiere and people should sign at premieres so….

I also really like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, so it’s always great to see him.

The Other Mike and I got some Baja Fresh, even though I didn’t really eat. I know, but I did have chips, I had to… It’s Baja Fresh!

Then I was told that Juliette Binoche wasn’t on the list for today.

Sigh…

And then I sort of.. Well… I was really bummed. What can you do right?

Thankfully, arrivals started earlier in the day and that made me very happy. Honestly, there weren’t that many people here which kind of sucks because then people ran run around behind you and it’s a mob. Sigh, I know, we’re never happy are we?

Finally, we’re ready for drops.

First arrival was Godzilla director Gareth Edwards. He was super cool. Honestly, nice as can be. I brought a Godzilla mini poster for everyone and he was happy to sign as many as he could.

Then came Carson Bolde who is the kid in the film. He was signing and signing but for some reason missed The Other Mike and I’s posters. Sigh..

CJ Adams was next and he came right on over. Very nice. He signed quite a bit.

Ken Watanabe was next and people went crazy for him, like bonkers. The last time I saw ken was back at the Inception premiere. He’s always been really cool about signing and I got him on my Godzilla mini poster. He signed a lot and I have to tell you, it was a little like getting smushed with the amount of crap behind me.

Victor Rasuk was next. He made sure and told us to watch The Flash on the CW which just got picked up. He was cool, but didn’t stay all that long. I did get him however.

Elizabeth Olsen was next to drop and she came over and started signing and went down the other way. Great! As she was signing Aaron Taylor-Johnson arrived. He came over and signed three people down from me. Oh great… how fun.

Then Elizabeth Olsen came back my way, she was signing for Mike and the security lady put her hand on my photo and I’m like, I’m in the front, why don’t you put your hand on the crap coming from the back. Sigh… So I missed her.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson came back and I have the new Men’s Health he’s on the cover on. Aaron Taylor-Johnson saw it and signed it but didn’t sign much in our area.

The Bryan Cranston dropped. He said, “One minute” and then came over. He signed like 5 tops. I was like really? Really Bryan Cranston. And he used to be so nice. I hate it when nice celebrities turn to the dark side.

Richard T. Jones arrived and was cool and came on over to sign. He was actually really funny.

And that was that. The Other Mike left and I stayed to see if anyone else would show. Then I ran around to where people would go into the premiere.

A few people signed there and I was lucky enough to get Elizabeth Olsen, and Carson Bolde on the Godzilla poster.

I saw Aaron Taylor-Johnson and he signed a few but not my poster which kind of sucked… But I did get one at least, so what can you do?

Anyway, while it wasn’t the most amazing premiere in the world, at least I have a nice start on the Godzilla poster and I got a magazine done. Man such a bummer about Juliette Binoche. Seriously, that would have made me so happy.
