Throwback Sat? Harrison Ford! Meeting The Iconic Superstar! Indiana Jones! Star Wars! Autographs! And More!

This week has been kind of crazy, so since we didn’t do a Throwback Thurs this week, I thought I would do a quick Throwback Sat! LOL.

There are just some actors who have lasted through the decades and one of those actors is Harrison Ford. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, I mean, with just those two movies alone he would have been an icon… But there’s also Working Girl, Mosquito Coast, Patriot Games, Air Force One, etc…

Harrison Ford is a tough one to get, so when you hear he’s out and about you just have to take the chance. I got a call to run out of the house now, as Harrison was out at an event. I had my Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom counter standee at the ready.

I called Scotty and he ran out of his house and I picked him up. When we arrived, we were told that Harrison signed on the way in. Doh. There was still hope though.

The event was letting out in only a few minutes and there was about 15 or so people there. The nice thing is, with someone like Harrison Ford or Russell Crowe people generally behave themselves and don’t go crazy.

Tonight was like that as well, everyone worked together and lined up. It’s so great when everyone can work together. It makes for a nice night.

We saw Harrison about to leave and no one shouted, we asked politely. Harrison Ford stood there for a second, as if he was testing us to see if anyone was going to move. Everyone stayed in line and Harrison Ford was in such a good mood. He nodded and walked on over.

He started at the front and said, “one each.” Then everyone stayed in line and he signed one each down the line. Scotty got his Temple of Doom laserdisc signed. I have my counter standee out and sadly it’s not solid so the signature isn’t as nice as Scotty’s but it’s pretty nice considering.

Most people stayed in line and only got one (ahem, there were a couple people…) now, I’m not above it, but when someone says, “One each” I try and be respectful especially when they are being cool.

It was a really cool night and I’m thankful that Harrison Ford took the few seconds out of his night to make the 15 or so of us super excited.

Plus, my counter standee is amazing! I couldn’t be happier!
