San Jose Heroes and Villains FanFest! Suddenly Susan Checks Out The Con Meeting Stephen Amell! Brandon Routh! Chandler Riggs! Cosplay! And More!
This past weekend, Anushika and I attended the Heroes and Villains FanFest in San Jose. They run a bunch of cons throughout the year and if you have the opportunity to go, you should. They are low key and intimate with a slew of great guests!
I was able to finish my season one Walking Dead poster by getting Chandler Riggs’ autograph. I had brought it with me to another con in Cleveland where he had to cancel due to illness. I’m happy that it’s finally done and it looks great. That one blank panel was haunting me for years!
I’m going to call my Arrow poster done as well. I completed it by getting Caity Lotz’s autograph. There are a few more minor characters that were in attendance, but there’s not enough room left on the poster itself. If I do add anyone else, it would be Emily Bett Rickards who plays Felicity Smoak, should she be at a nearby con.
I also got Brandon Routh to sign my Superman Returns poster. I’ve had it framed and on the wall for 10 years so I figured, why not? I had a frame shop open it up for me and took the dry mounted poster with me. Brandon is such a sweetheart – truly kind and down to earth. He signed it perfectly in silver on the cape.
I got Stephen Amell to sign a very cool, card stock arrow poster I’ve been holding onto. It looks great in gold pen and he added the signature arrow below it.
Next we had a few professional photo ops. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have physical contact with Stephen and Brandon (who actually remembered my name for the signing a few hours earlier) and Shika and I got a photo together with Matt Ryan of Constantine.
All in all it was a great convention in a fun city. I’ll see you at the next one!

Super cutie Patootie!
Love that Photo with Stephen. I would do more cons but the prices. So expensive. I bet you shelled out over 200 bucks on the graphs alone. And the Stephen Amell lost some letters didn’t it? Now it’s an SA> Kind of lame of him not to sign his full name.
Nice pieces. Glad you finished the WD poster. Season one…. damn.
Well Susan, must be nice to travel the world and see all the people. Clap, clap. Nice pictures.
The dark haired raven girl is very pretty.
Is that your friend Susan, your compatriot in crime or your con-tastic mate. You guys make a cute couple. Kisses
You know, Brandon Routh could of at least worn a shirt that fits. It looks two sizes too big. I don’t understand people pay big bucks at these cons and the celebrities wear a t-shirt and a backwards baseball hat. Doesn’t it seem a tad ridiculous? Dress up, nothing wrong with a polo.
P.S. The dark haired girl has an adorable smile. Who did she get pictures of? I Is she going to do a a review of her time. Did you see the sights as well as the con?
I was there too! It was magical! I wish there was a con every weekend then I would have a place to go and not sit at home drinking a cold beer wishing it was time to go to bed.
Beautiful autographs and awesome pictures! I attended this con in Chicago and was so surprised how low key it was. Next year it’s being combined with Walker Stalker Con so we’ll see how that goes. Glad you had a nice time!
