The day of the Divas! Yep, I can only be talking about the What To Expect When You’re Expecting premiere! This premiere features not only Jennifer Lopez, AKA JLO, AKA Jenny From the Block, but also Cameron Diaz. Now, both are generally difficult to get but I’ve met Jennifer Lopez before and she was very nice to me… So… I’m hoping that I’ll have some success today! Gulp.. It’s always a difficult proposition when dealing with divas… Sigh…
4:11 p.m. – I just arrived and joined Scotty and The Other Mike. Work and traffic what can you do right? The Other Mike was nice enough to save me a spot so I’m not shut out. lol…
4:21 p.m. – It’s a half street closure, so we should be in good position for some success!
4:39 p.m. – My Lord Scotty and Mike can’t stop talking about Madonna. Its driving me a tad insane. God Bless them.
4:57 p.m. – I don’t understand people and their fashion choices. Bleach blonde hair, a mesh black tank top and short shorts. Really?
5:09 p.m. – And a homeless man in a bikini top. Sigh… I think my eyes are bleeding.
5:16 p.m. – There are a bunch of people here, but it’s not overwhelming. Although a lot of looky loos are here now.
5:32 p.m. – The carpet should start soon… Sigh…
5:47 p.m. – The sun is so bright. And yes, the Madonna talk continues.
5:58 p.m. – Oh a car. Wow, that’s early. Lord it’s Mario Lopez. He wears more make up than a woman.
6:06 p.m. – Mario barely waved and now he’s sitting with his sunglasses and is texting. He just acts like such a douche… Ugh…
6:13 p.m. – Oh an early arrival. It’s Rodrigo Santoro. I have my Love Actually UK mini quad poster. I figure it’s a great time to break the cherry on this poster if I can. I expect to get the entire cast this year. Yeah right!
6:16 p.m. – Rodrigo Santoro doesn’t look like he is going to come over, but the crowd is being very persuasive. Finally Rodrigo Santoro relents and comes over.
6:17 p.m. – Rodrigo Santoro comes on over but he heads away from us.
Damn… He is signing quite a bit though. We are calling him over our way… Finally Rodrigo Santoro
comes this way.
The last thing he signs is my mini poster. Lord, that does not bode well. lol…
6:23 p.m. – Man if it’s that hard for Rodrigo Santoro what’s it going to be like for JLO, Jenny from the Block, J to the Lo…
6:34 p.m. – Okay arrivals have official started… With no one. lol…
6:41 p.m. – Another drop it’s Brooklyn Decker. She isn’t even looking over. Finally after a chant she looks over.
6:43 p.m. – Oh wow, Brooklyn Decker is coming over.
She is signing quite a bit actually. I don’t have anything for her, but it’s nice that she’s doing so much. The guys are going nuts over her.
6:49 p.m. – Okay come on JLO…
6:51 p.m. – Joe Manganiello from True Blood is arriving. Joe is hyper nice. He is coming right on over.
We are all huge True Blood fans and it’s always a thrill to meet any of the stars.
6:52 p.m. – Joe Manganiello is really taking time with everything he’s signing.
Scotty took one of my magazines to get signed for me since he didn’t have anything. Joe Manganiello is literally personalizing everything. It’s fine, but is taking a long long time.
The nice thing is he’s not just writing “To Mike Joe Manganiello” he’s writing “Bewere of Mike Joe Manganiello” that’s kind of funny. Lol…
6:54 p.m. – Oh, there’s Matthew Morrison. Everyone is calling for him and he’s coming on over as well… Matthew is signing a lot as well.
6:56 p.m. – Joe is just finishing up signing and heads back as we get Matthew in our section. He signs my Details magazine.
Just as Chace Crawford is dropping and running over. Chace Crawford and Matthew Morrison say hello, and then both sign.
6:58 p.m. – Chace Crawford is signing really fast.
I got him on my Covenant DVD cover and a magazine that Erica gave me.
Ironically, when she gave it to me I though, “I’ll never get this signed” and here I am… Getting it signed. lol…
7:04 p.m. – Everyone headed back to the carpet. All the guys who came over were awesome!
7:06 p.m. – Rebel Wilson is heading over. She’s so nice. She’s signing for everyone. Again I have nothing for her, but still she’s very cool.
7:08 p.m. – Oh crap, we missed Anna Kendrick dropping. Doh!
7:11 p.m. – Cameron Diaz just dropped. We are screaming our heads off. We got a wave… Yep, a wave… Doh!
7:15 p.m. – Elizabeth Banks just dropped and did we get a wave? Nope… Did we get a turn. Nope… Did we get dissed… Yep…
7:18 p.m. – Oh there’s Anna Kendrick! She’s coming back over to sign for us!
And she heads right to Scotty who’s waving his 50/50 mini poster.
Anna signed my Up in the Air mini poster before getting through the rest of the line.
7:23 p.m. – There’s the car… The car… The JLO Mobile!
The door opens and there she is!
Jennifer Lopez comes over… and signs one autograph and skips 15 people, signs another autograph and skips scotty and I before walking down the line.
Seriously! Seriously! I love JLO and just got the proverbial shaft. WTF! I ask you! WTF! Oh, and now she’s done and heading back to the carpet. Devastated…
7:26 p.m. – Oh crap Cameron Diaz is coming back and crossing the street! I grab my magazine and Scotty has his DVD cover and Cameron Diaz is coming right on over to us. And… Then she takes a hard right and skips our entire section… Oh yeah.. Cameron Diaz skipped everyone in our area.
She signed receipts, notebooks, and random pieces of crap and not the V Magazine I’ve been holding onto since 2009. And so ends one the worst premiere’s ever. Not because I came away with nothing but that everyone I wanted signed next to me and skipped my section. Sigh… I’m only a tad pissed. And screamed out… I’m a little horse… lol… Ah well…
I’m generally speaking pretty lucky, so you have to take the positive with the negative I guess. Sigh…
