I Was Learning The Facts Of Life While Looking For The Filming Location of Eastland School For Girls! Tootie! Blair! Natalie! and Jo’s Alma Mater!
I’m so excited! Today, the wonderful Ms. Lindsay from I Am Not A Stalker.com and I are going on a trek… A trek to find the illustrious school from The Facts of Life… Yep, the Eastland School for girls! I know, I know… I’m a dork… But, the Facts of Life is one of my favorites television series of all time.
I remember back when I was in grade school channel 5 back in Detroit would show The Facts of Life everyday. I would come home from school and watch the trials and tribulations of Blair, Tootie, Natalie and Jo along with their housemother Ms. Garrett… I’m not sure what it was about the series that I found so fun, but whatever it was, The Facts of Life is a show I grew up with.
When I found out that Eastland was actually in California… To say I was excited is an understatement… So, Superbowl Sunday, Lindsay and I headed out to Claremont to find the famed school…
Now, being the movie aficionado I am, I just happened to have some original Facts of Life costumes… Don’t judge… And my Facts of Life lunchbox that I had signed when I met Ms. Charlotte Rae back last January….
After a brief bit of walking about we stumbled upon the illustrious school thanks to Lindsay’s excellent stalking ability.
I was finally able to be there at Eastland! To say I dorked out, is again and understatement.
So, armed with our props, Lindsay and I had a blast being complete dorks… lol… I love being a fanboy dork! I could give a crap who cares. lol…

you are a dork!! which character did you relate to?
OMG LOVE IT! The video is SO cool! 🙂
One of my most favorite autographs was from a random run-in with Mindy Cohn at a restaurant. She signed it, “Gratefully, Mindy Cohn”. Sigh. I love Natalie!
That’s so funny! I never had the opportunity to meet her yet! One day!
Mike, I think she’s in LA or Burbank quite a lot as she does voice work for the new Scooby Doo show 🙂
My friend saw her in a restaurant once and got her to sign a piece of paper for me. I need her on my lunchbox! LOL! Facts Rocks!
Because you ROCK Lindsay!
This is way cool!
I can relate to the dorkiness. FOL is one of my favorite shows of all time.
I used to watch it every week. I once talked my Navy buddies into helping me write Nancy McKeon a letter. Got an autographed picture…actually signed with a flair pen, back!
Had it hanging in my room and then took it on the ship with me.
Thanks for this!
