JLo, Jenny From the Block, J to the Lo. Yep, Jennifer Lopez. She received her star on the Walk of Fame this week and it was pretty extraordinary as it was the 2,500th star to be awarded.

I love Jennifer, always have really. She has been so nice the few times I have seen her out and about. I wish I could have gone to her Star Ceremony but alas work calls. Scotty headed down and was lucky enough to meet the star herself.

Jennifer Lopez Star Ceremony

Today I attended the star ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer received the 2,500th star on Hollywood Boulevard. I have been a HUGE Jennifer Lopez fan since I first saw Selena. My love of Jennifer’s work increased with her first album “On the 6.” She is definitely a triple threat in entertainment – actress, singer, and dancer. She is an exciting talent and entertainer.

I arrived early as to hopefully guarantee a good spot on the barricade. Billy Beer met me there. The organizers handed out wristbands so that everyone who got there early would have a spot.

I was #24 in line.

Along with the wristband,

we were given a limited edition pin celebrating Jennifer’s star.

Around 10:40 a.m., they let us in a few at a time to the viewing area. I felt Billy and I got a great spot. As we waited we were excited to see the arrivals of the speakers.

Today’s speakers for Jennifer would be Jane Fonda, Keenan Ivory Wayans,

Benny Mednia, director Gregory Nava, and Pitbull. I don’t think I have been to a star ceremony that had so many guest speakers. I think this really showed how much people respect and care for Jennifer.

The ceremony finally began. When Jennifer stepped out, I was so excited. She looked radiant.

She walked out with Casper Smart on her arm and made her way to the seating area. While sitting there and listening to the speakers, you could see that Jennifer is a good mother attending to her children.

There was a lot of family support around her, which was really cool to see. Her mother, father, sister, and friends were all in attendance.  

After all the speakers made their speeches, Jennifer got up to the podium and made an emotional speech.

After her speech, Jennifer walked over and posed for photos with her star. Unfortunately, Billy and I were not able to see her from the angle we were standing.

Finally, the moment we waited for had arrived. Jennifer walked over to greet the fans and sign autographs. It was pandemonium as everyone wanted to get an autograph or picture with Jennifer. Jennifer finally got to our area. I was so excited as she took the Sharpie from me and signed my JLo poster.

She also signed Billy’s awesome photograph for her recent V magazine spread. She was about to hand the pen back, but I asked if she could sign my other item. It was a picture from her 2000 W magazine spread. She signed it, and made her way to the next barricade.
