Oh no… It’s Fanboy Fail Friday! And Scotty is regaling us with a sad tale. A tale of two disses… From Kate Hudson. Scotty loves her, like how Mike The Fanboy loves Mary Louise Parker love… I know right! And since I just referred to myself in third person, I might need to wrap up this intro.
Instead take a look at Scotty’s Fanboy Fail Friday after the jump!
Trying to Meet Kate Hudson
This week I spent a day trying to get Kate Hudson to sign my “Rasing Helen” poster, Bazaar magazine, “Bride Wars” mini poster, and “Something Borrowed” DVD cover. Say what you want, but I love Kate Hudson’s movies. They always make me laugh. I brought more than one item this time just in case someone didn’t bring anything and could possibly help me. I knew Kate would be making a talk show appearance and attending a premiere to promote the HBO movie “Clear History.”
I was the only one waiting at the talk show. I was sad when her car arrived and she did not roll her window down to sign for me. I did understand a minute later. There was a car that rolled in right behind hers and stopped in the driveway. As soon as Kate’s door opened and she walked to the studio, a paparazzi jumped out of the car and began shooting photos. This photographer had probably followed her all day, so I figured she was in no mood to have pictures taken before the show while signing for a fan.
I took off from the studio and made my way to where the premiere was held.
I got a spot on the barricade at the premiere and anxiously waited for Kate’s arrival. As the other stars from the film arrived and made their way to the end of the carpet, we called for them to come over and sign. Nobody came over!
This did not bode well. Kate finally arrived and made her way down the carpet, and only waved to us.
I was so disappointed. Not only didn’t she sign for us, she spent a period of time standing in the lobby talking and snacking on popcorn.
I know it is never an obligation for celebrities to sign autographs, but if one is promoting a film, it makes sense to greet fans to make them want to watch the film. These fans will more than likely tell others to watch too.
We waited for the film to end to see if the stars would be willing to sign for those die-hard fans still waiting. Unfortunately, they did not come over then either. It is not often fans go to a premiere and not get a single autograph. It was a very long and disappointing day.
