Billy Beer Is A Mad Men When He Meets The Cast! January Jones! Elizabeth Moss! Vincent Kartheiser! Kiernan Shipka! And More!
Oh Billy Beer!
Billy has been secluding himself out in the far remote corner of life… Or as he calls it Oceanside. With only the bartender at Chili’s to talk to, life is rough for poor Billy. Thankfully, he found time in his hectic schedule to sit down, use his phone as a hotspot for internet and write an article or two!
Say wha?
I know! (How Monica was that of me?) Anyway, that Billy Beer is a Madman, and to celebrate the season premiere of Mad Men, Billy has a quick recap of when he met the cast!

Welcome back to Billy Beer’s bar stool. There have been some complaints from a certain Fanboy that my articles aren’t coming out at a fast enough pace. To that I say you can’t rush greatness. Sorry I’m busy working to make the hockey card world a better place while he’s sitting on his couch freaking out, writing 10 worthless articles about where he’s staying at Comic Con while eating Snickers bars. Oh Mike, you know I’m joking…………..;)
(Editor’s Note: I think the hockey card world survived long enough without you dorkus! M-)
Even though I moved a few months ago, I’m still running around Hollywood trying to see my favorite celebs. Earlier I had gone to the Paleyfest event for Mad Men one of my favorite show. I must admit, I was a little late on the band wagon, but I’m caught up now, and love this show! They showed the season finale from last year which kinda bummed me out. I was hoping we’d see a sneak peek at the new season. The panel was highlighted by a staring contest with Jon Hamm, and sense of humor amongst the whole cast.
Sadly, there was no January Jones or John Slattery for whom I had brought stuff for. After the bum rush, I was able to get Jessica, Vincent, Elizabeth, and Kiernan Shipka.
Jon for some reason completely skipped my picture, and Christina never moved from my right. I was hoping to get everyone, but still not a bad night.
Now for the Premiere. At last year’s premiere, I did quite well. I got most of the cast minus Jessica, and got a lot of photo ops too. I brought my posters I was working on along with 5 x 7’s of my photo ops (yeah Mike 5 x 7’s, not blown up VHS boxes that no one is going to remember) and some other pics.
(Editor’s Note: “Seth… Seth Green! I have a 5×7 of you and I, can you sign it!?!? PLEASSSSSSSSE!” And that kids, is my description of Billy Beer and his 5×7 photos! M-)
I get there a little bit late, and the setup looks terrible. There was rain earlier, so they had tents up making it hard for the celebs to even hear us.
Things didn’t go too well. Some of the supporting cast did stop by to sign things, but the only main characters to come over where Vincent and Robert. Both were extremely nice, Robert especially, signing and telling us stories.
At the end though, they were running in the cast which I understood, until I notice that Elizabeth and Jon then snuck behind the tents so they could have a cigarette. NICE! Take care of those lungs before you take care of your fans.
After figuring out where the after party was, now was the decision on whether to stick around for exits, or go to the after party. I go to the after party, which this time turned out to be a good choice for who I needed. There were probably about eight of us there. On the way in, Elizabeth, January, and Christina all signed.
The highlight was January saying that she “was signing a lot of tits!”
I found out Alison Brie, and Jessica both signed on the way out at the movie, both people I wanted, but didn’t need on my cast pieces. Robert and Vincent both came over again, and again Robert came with some great stories! Now all I was really waiting for was Jon and John. John didn’t do it on the way in to the party, and we never saw Jon.
Later we find out he went in the back. REALLY! To avoid what? Seven people asking for your autograph? REALLY? I don’t understand this, cause just a month ago I saw him at an event, and he couldn’t have been nicer. He signed for me and even took a picture. Hope he’s not burning out! I decide to kill myself even more, so I stick around for exits. John finally comes out and signs my posters. Now all I need is Jon……
………….
…………….
F@#* this! I still gotta drive back to Oceanside. I finally leave. I heard that Jessica did come out and sign after, but that was it. Oh well, it was still quite successful, and I got to see the cast one last time. Gotta go, it’s happy hour somewhere!
Nice photos billy beer the bar man!
