Mad Men’s Jon Hamm and Paul Rudd are super cool while Ms. Molly Ringwald is a No Show… Sigh…

It’s a cold dark and stormy day… Well, not stormy exactly but still cold. I know I know here I go bitching again sigh… what can you do right? Pinky and I are out and about for Molly Ringwald. I am a lover of all things 1980’s and Pinky… Well, Molly was in Pretty in Pink right? So naturally she has to love Ms. Molly Ringwald… lol… Anyway, tonight is an event for the Oscar Wilde Irish Alliance party… Rudd… is that Irish?

6:21 p.m. – Pinky and I just arrive and met up. We are standing across the street from the event and have no idea where to go. No barricade no other collectors, just me, Pinky and my Pretty in Pink poster. What can you do right?

6:34 p.m. – Arrivals have sorta started. There is a “green” carpet but everything is inside. This may just be a bust. I only have stuff for Molly Ringwald, and JJ Abrams. I totally forgot all my Paul Rudd stuff at home. Not that I have a lot of Paul Rudd stuff but still. LOL…

6:43 p.m. – A couple dealers showed up.

6:45 p.m. – Pinky and I walked to the other side of the street where the drop offs are, and were told to go across the street. They were nice about it though.

6:46 p.m. – People are arriving but as of yet no one of interest. Dana Delany is also supposed to be here, and since I love me some Desperate Housewives and China Beach for that matter I always love to see her out!

6:47 p.m. – Gilles Marini showed up, but they escorted him inside. Not that I needed him or wanted him for that matter. I’m just on the prowl for that dastardly red head!

6:51 p.m. – An actress the collector’s want just showed up. I have no idea who she is but she’s very nice. Pinky gets a photo with her. Ah well…

6:54 p.m. – I’m debating about putting my hands into Pinky’s back pocket to keep them warm. I haven’t told her this yet. I may surprise her… heh heh heh…

7:02 p.m. – Oh crap there’s Paul Rudd! Everyone calls him over and Wow, he’s coming on over. I’m a tad shocked as I heard he wasn’t that nice lately. Although he did sign a lot at the How Do You Know premiere. Anyway, Paul is super cool. He took a picture with Pinky and then with me. I was very impressed.

7:12 p.m. – Well, at least I got a picture with Paul Rudd. Not exactly the Ringwald, but still I’m happy.

7:14 p.m. – Oh sweet baby Jesus, Pinky’s going crazy! She’s screaming for someone named Jon.

7:15 p.m. – Holy crap that’s Jon Hamm! Dammit he wasn’t on the list and I don’t have any of my Mad Men stuff. I love Mad Men! Dammit!

7:16 p.m. – Jon says, I’m late I gotta go. Then, he comes across the street and gets a photo with Pinky and then does a photo with me and signs about one each for the other guys before going in. Dude, that was rad!

7:22 p.m. – I’m so excited about Jon Hamm!

7:23 p.m. – A guy is walking out of the event in green pants. Wow, way to hit that one on the nose right? Irish event – green pants. Sigh…

7:26 p.m. – Okay, we hear the event starting… Oh crap JJ Abrams just arrived. Pinky and I yelled for him, but he was running inside and didn’t hear us. He’s super cool, so I’m sure I will see him some other time.

7:35 p.m. – Well… Pinky and I are calling it. No Molly Ringwald, no Dana Delaney… Ah well… Still a photo with Jon Hamm makes me very happy! And Paul Rudd as well. All in all it wasn’t a total loss by a long shot!
