Meeting Fumbling Towards Ecstasy Songstress Ms. Sarah McLachlan! Autographs! Photos and More!

There’s a lot of things I love in life, but one of my loves is my friend Annette. She is simply a wonderful human being and I simply adore her! Annette and I both are kindred spirits on the music front and love so many artists including Aimee Mann, Travis, and especially Sarah McLachlan.

I got a call that Sarah was doing a last minute talk show appearance Annette was the first person I called. So, we headed out with our promo posters to try and meet Sarah. I’ve met Sarah a couple times before so I know how nice she is, but everything depends on the situation.

So, off we go! I’m hoping especially for Annette’s sake we have some luck!

8:55 a.m. – There’s not much that gets up in the morning, I think it’s only work… Well, today it’s work and Annette.

9:02 a.m. – We are trying to meet Sarah McLachlan before she goes in for soundcheck. Sarah is filming a talk show today, and was a last minute addition.

9:09 a.m. – Annette has a Wintersong promo flat and I have an Afterglow promo poster and a Laws of Illusion rare oversized poster. It’s one of the large foamboard posters… Yeah not subtle…

9:15 a.m. – There’s only the two of us here and since my poster is quite large and well.. I feel a tad conspicuous.

9:22 a.m. – We are excited though… we are having a random heat wave here in Los Angeles and it’s a tad disconcerting seeing as it’s almost December!

9:26 a.m. – Still nothing… We’re just chilling… Ah well… At least the company is good!

9:33 a.m. – Annette doesn’t come out that often so I always hope for the best when she does make it out.

9:45 a.m. – Trying to get an artist going in is tough, because you just never know when they are going to get here… It could be early, it could be late, you just never know…

9:57 a.m. – I have loved Sarah McLachlan ever since I was a kid. She is one of the rare artists that for me at least have provided one of the soundtracks to my life….

9:58 a.m. – I think that sounded really cheesy.. Hmmmm…. I need to be more sarcastic… God bless sarcasm!

10:03 a.m. – Every time I see a car, I’m like… There she is… But it’s not. lol…

10:09 a.m. – Oh… Oh… There’s a car. It’s her.

I have my giant poster out and Sarah’s car stops. She rolls down the window and is super sweet! She signs my giant poster and then my mini poster.

Then Annette gets in and has her promo poster flat signed as well.

We both thank Sarah for stopping. It’s super fast but so nice.

Sarah is honestly so good to her fans. It’s always rare to find a musical artist who embodies everything she puts to music!

I’m so excited!
