Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy here with a report on someone I’ve wanted to meet even longer than her popular animated show has been on the air.
I first saw Yeardley Smith when she was on the TV sitcom, “Herman’s Head,” about a million years ago and there was something just so unique and inviting about her onscreen.
With her dry with and deadpan delivery, she’s able to deliver laugh after laugh without ever breaking character.
When she went on to voice the character of Lisa Simpson on “The Simpsons,” she delighted audiences week after week and year after year with her portrayal of the book-loving Lisa.
For the longest time I’ve seen pictures of her posing with people I know, but I’d never seen her in person before.
Today I had the opportunity to meet Yeardley Smith as she arrived at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. She looked absolutely stunning and as she came over to me, I said, “You look so beautiful!” Her reply? “Well, I knew I was going to see you here, so I wanted to look my best.” How cute is that? I love when celebs can be fun and playful when you meet them!
