Manic Mondays! Pinky Puts On Her Eyepatch After Meeting The Pirate Movie Stars Christopher Atkins And Kristy McNichol!

Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy-Coogan here still on a high from getting a “double shot” with two actors from one of my favorite movies, The Pirate Movie.

Now, I realize I’ve talked about both Kristy McNichol and Christopher Atkins before (after meeting them individually),

but this was the first time I was able to see them together. Plus, to be fair, the last time I saw her, I was pretty disappointed with my Kristy McNichol encounter.

Don’t get me wrong – she wasn’t unfriendly by any means. She just didn’t seem that engaged, especially when I was telling her how much I loved The Pirate Movie. As she didn’t have any memorabilia from the movie to be sold, I figured she must not have been a big fan. So, I was pretty disappointed when I left that day, plus, I’d forgotten my DVD which had already been signed by Christopher Atkins (and knowing I’m not a big autograph person, for me to even get the DVD signed was HUGE). But, it was her first show, so maybe she was just a little shell shocked. Who knows what was going on with her back then.

Thankfully, this time was way different. She even played along with me when I “Annie Potts’d out on her” (this is a private joke between me and Mikey from when I started quoting Pretty in Pink to Annie Potts). It was amazing! Not only did I remember my DVD, but I was able to finally get it signed by Kristy

and then, as frosting on the cake, get a joint shot with both of them while holding the signed DVD. SO stoked!!! I had to make a collage out of it just to convey my excitement. Now I’m dying to go and watch the movie again!
