Cosmo the dog in The Beginners. Way cooler than Uggie from The Artist
My favorite movie animal is Shiloh from the movie of the same name. I loved the story of friends in the making.

Definitely Uggie the dog from The Artist. Beyond being adorable, he enhances the movie with a genuinely warm and fun to watch performance.

For me, it’s Toto (the little dog) from the ‘Wizard of Oz’. Because he was a cute little dog, and whenever he was onscreen, he would always (and still does) bring a smile to my face whenever I watch the movie! Toto certainly brought a certain charm to the ‘Wizard of Oz’, and I don’t think the film would have been as successful without him! Long live little Toto! 🙂

I love dogs so I’d have to say Lassie would probably be the earliest movie dog I remember seeing. I also went with my younger brother and older sister to see the Benji movies and I really remember loving them; he was a cutie.
