Happy post-Turkey Day, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed love, laughter and friendship wherever you spent the holiday. This week’s PCC was submitted to Sir Mike the Fanboy early, so just know that if there was any “late-breaking” Hollywood news (ala the Simpson/Lachey divorce announcement the day before Thanksgiving in 2005) during the past 48 hours, it won’t be mentioned below. Instead, you have these early-bird gems…
Encore, encore
Funnymen Seth Rogen and James Franco did a shot-for-shot recreation of Kimye’s “Bound 2” music video, with Franco as Yeezus and Rogen as a topless Kim Kartrashian.
And you thought the original was hilarious.
Snip, snip
Crooner Keith Urban chopped off his signature shaggy, shoulder-length ‘do for a shorter, and darker, cut.
Nothing says righteous country rocker like a chic pixie cut.
Say it ain’t so
Brian Griffin, the dog on “Family Guy,” was killed off the show this week. The viewer outcry led to an online petition to resurrect the pooch, as well as the Twitter hashtag #BringBackBrian. This, the death of an animated dog, is what sparks a movement these days. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Actual Real World Events.
Royal pain
Upon meeting Prince William this week at Kensington Palace, Taylor Swift aww-shucked it with the future king and later said meeting him was, “Awesome! He was very funny. I was really happy he was funny.”
Someone make her a U.S. ambassador, ASAP. I swear, if she, at any point, said “Today was a fairytale,” I will punch someone.
Irreplaceable
At this week’s American Music Awards, TLC performed their classic “Waterfalls,” with rapper Lil Mama filling in for Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, who died in 2002. I love TLC, but you just don’t replace Left Eye. Period.
That’s all for this week…catch ya on the flip side!
