Renewals! NBC Gives This Is Us A Full Season Order of 18 Episodes!

This is Us is doing great on NBC, the freshman series just received an order for a back five pickup and a full season one renewal. It is shy of the traditional 22 episode season pick ups most series get.

However, with the series being so serialized, I understand Dan Fogelman, the creator was hoping to get a 16 episode season to tell the story and now he has 18.

The second installment of This Is Us airs tonight on NBC. The series averaged a 4.2 in the ratings with 13.53 in total viewers.

The series stars Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, Sterling K. Brown, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan and Ron Cephas Jones.
