R.I.P. Edward Herrmann! Pinky Remembers Meeting The Lost Boys And Gilmore Girls Star!

It’s always hard to say goodbye, and when I heard that Lost Boys and Gilmore Girls star Edward Herrmann passed away today, I was so sad.

Hello, my lovelies.

Pinky Lovejoy-Coogan here saying goodbye not only to the past year, but to a talented actor, as well. Today we mourn the loss of Edward Herrmann, who passed away at the age of 71.

Edward was probably best known for his roles on Lost Boys, St. Elsewhere, and Gilmore Girls, but he was on a myriad of other things (including my beloved Grey’s Anatomy).

I first came to adore him when he played Goldie Hawn’s rich husband on the classic film Overboard. Whenever he was onscreen, he always came across as friendly and kind.

When I had the opportunity to meet him last year at the Chiller convention, I found that to be true. Not only did he have a booth down the row from Keith where I was able to meet him and get a picture with him, but he would always smile at us every time he came by.

A good person, a great talent, he will be missed.

R.I.P. Edward Herrmann. Thank you for the entertainment.
