As Erica talked about yesterday in her TV Heartbeat column, Lifetime has cancelled it’s supernatural series The Witches of East End after it finished it’s second season.
It’s so sad. I really enjoyed the series that starred Eric Winter and Julia Ormond. It was a fun, frothy series that I honestly didn’t expect to leave the airwaves, especially with so many loose ends to tie up.
Many of the stars took to twitter to lament the cancellation.
I will tell you, I’m bummed. I didn’t expect to see The Witches of East End go out this way.
In other series news, the rumor mill has perennial bubble series Hart of Dixie possibly ending it’s run after an abbreviated shortened series. The episode order was cut short to 10 episodes to account for star Rachel Bilson’s pregnancy.
The CW has not made a decision on the series but judging from some Tweets from the cast, it looks like the series finale could be coming.
Hopefully, everything is just the sadness of shooting the season finale and having a shortened series order. Lt’s all cross our fingers!
