Scream Queens Season 1 Episode 10 Review And Recap! Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving fellow pledges!!!

We start off this week with Chanel delivering the good news to Chad about Hester; “You don’t have to marry that psycho cow Hester because you don’t have a baby on the way.” She confesses to killing Hester for their love with a little help from gravity. Completely turned on by the incident Chad begs to see the body. He wants to do a lot more than look, but just like the rest of murdered bodies Hester’s body has Houdinied itself out of the meat locker.

Gigi decorates hand turkeys while watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade with Boone’s other devilish half. She tries to patch things up after the bloody debacle last week. Gigi blames Boone for his own death and tries to have a nice Thanksgiving meal. She gives the honor of carving what looks like something a real turkey spitted out to the surviving devil. Thanks to the horny suit, we still don’t know Boone’s sibling’s identity.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Chanel #3 goes back home to spend it with her family. This is what I would imagine the Bundy family to look like if they were loaded; TV dinners in front of screens playing football. After a not so welcoming speech from her dad, Chanel #3 gets sent out to the back to sit with the help for being tardy. She storms out frustrated by her family, threatening never to come back again. It seems like her real home is back on campus.

Chanel #3 comes back to the Kappa house to hear alarming chopping noises in the kitchen; a kitchen that’s never in use. Not sure why, but she keeps bumping into people in that kitchen. Taking advantage of the vacant kitchen, Dean Munsch has decided to cook her Thanksgiving dinner at the Kappa house. Do I smell a new tradition?

It seems like Grace and Zayday changed their mind about spending the holiday away from campus as well. Disappointed by the no shows to his dinner, Wes calls up Grace and ends up getting invited to the Kappa Thanksgiving dinner instead.

The Radwells are all under the same roof to celebrate their traditional Thanksgiving feast. They “welcome” Chanel to their family’s celebration. Each Radwell takes turn sharing what they are most thankful for this year. When it comes to Chad’s turn, he thanks the one person who has helped him to keep on going, the Red Devil serial killer. Yup, that just happened. Chad’s mom adds on to his speech by wishing him a long life with plenty “other” girls to make out and break up. This wish clearly doesn’t sit well with Chanel. She charges at Chad’s mom threatening to strangle her.

As if things aren’t already going so well, the Radwells get another surprise visitor. You guessed it right, Hester; she is alive! Apparently the cold stone floors in the freezer helped to save her life. Just when you thought things couldn’t possibly get any worse, Hester announces her pregnancy. Infuriated by the unwelcomed spectacle, Chad’s mom loses her mind. She calls out Hester’s bluff and accuses her of having a poo belly.

Chanel reaches out to her lush of a mother for advice and fails miserably. Chad’s father walks in offering to pay her off to disappear from Chad’s life; “Name your price.” He is willing to pay her fifty thousand dollars, but Chanel refuses to be bought. She runs off to Chad who isn’t much help as always. He was way too distracted by their special family dessert made out of Thanksgiving leftovers.

Chanel and Hester join the Radwells for a game of Pictionary. After Chad’s brother Rad’s successful attempt to draw a “Neckbrace Whore”, Chanel takes her stand and pretty much spills out the best thing she has ever uttered the entire season. She apologizes to Hester and points out the Radwells to be “The most awful family in America”. That’s not all, she goes into detail especially about Chad’s mother; “The leathery excuse of a mother who looks like ostrich hide clutch from last season that somehow learned how to talk.” She is quite the wordsmith. Chanel concludes her rant by breaking up with Chad yet again and bids her farewells to the Radwells. Hester runs after her and joins Chanel; Chicks before dicks.

Back at the Kappa house, the turkey is taking a bit too long to cook. Dean Munsch suggests a game to keep them busy until dinner is served; a guessing game to catch the Red Devil killer. She kicks things off by accusing Chanel #3, baby Manson. She returns the favor by boomeranging the accusation back at Dean Munsch. The game gets interrupted by Chanel #5 who comes back to the house with her famous eight-meat stuffing. After getting herself a snack, Dean Munsch challenges the girls to prove her guilt. Chanel #3 claims no one else have a bigger motive than her to kill off the Kappa girls and raises the question of Dean Munsch’s Bologna allergy while Dean Munsch chow down on Chanel #5 meat stuffing and red wine. Just as the girls were about to close the case, Wes intervenes to voice his hidden suspicions about Grace being the killer. WHAT? No he didn’t.

Pete comes into her rescue and points the finger at Wes. This is turning into quite the game. He accuses Wes for sneaking into the meat locker, but it ends up being an act to steal the unused meat from the freezer for his “Paleo Diet”, now that he is back on the dating scene. None of us were prepared for Pete’s next piece of evidence; “You are the father.” So, Wes is Boone’s biological father. Holy Crap!!! I did not see this one coming. The killer is Grace’s half sibling. Instead of calling the police Grace and Wes joins forces to catch the devil themselves and finally put a stop to the killings.

After having disastrous family Thanksgivings, all the girls are back at the Kappa house and ready for the turkey. Chad shows up for round two; however, it’s safe to assume he is back together with Chanel. Meanwhile Chanel #5 brings in the turkey to the table. Chanel is thrilled to have the first Kappa Thanksgiving and unveils the turkey to waves of screams from the entire table. Instead of the delicious turkey, we find Gigi’s head on the platter; and then there was one.
