Scream Queens Season 1 Episode 11 Review And Recap! Black Friday!

We return to a Black Friday celebration with door busting action this week, literally. Apparently, Halloween isn’t the only time Chanel feels generous. It’s a day to celebrate all her friends by giving them gifts that questions their friendship. Zayday struggles with Gigi’s delicious head while all the Chanels head out to part take in the patriotic ritual. Dean Munsch tries to take control of the situation, but fails to restrain the shopaholics.

Pete, Wes, and Grace head on over to the police station on what declared to be the busiest night of the year. It seems like murders take the back seat on Black Friday. Due to the lack of leads on the Red Devil murders, the police station is going through its own cleansing; Detective Chisolm part ways with the force to pursue his lifelong dream, interior designing.

Chanel has a break through at the mall when the girls gift her a really thoughtful and expensive Chanel bag for Christmas; something she gets for free each year. Chanel realizes that she got the whole holiday spirit twisted. Instead of buying crappy gifts, she decides to buy awesome gifts with her disgusting wealth. Chanel leaves the mall with the girls to buy them all matching pink jeeps. Wow, that was quite a jump from copper earrings.

The Chanels never make it outside before getting attacked by the infamous Red Devil. After dashing downstairs, they spot an escape route. The girls get away, but Chanel stays behind to finally face the Devil who she is convinced to be Dean Munsch. She is really stepping up to the plate as the Kappa President. Chanel goes face to face with the Red Devil killer and ends up catching an arrow with her arm. While the Red Devil was busy reloading his crossbow, the new Chief of Police rushes into save the day. It’s none other than our own Denise Hemphill. Yup, she upgraded from night sticks and torches. Unfortunately during her acceptance speech, the Red Devil got away killing one of her own offices. And just like that, he slips away again.

Back at the Kappa house, wounded Chanel joins all her forces to take matters into her own hands. She is going after the Red Devil killer herself. Completely convinced that Dean Munsch is the killer, she decides to poison Dean Munsch. For the very first time Grace agrees with Chanel. They are finally on the same team.

Meanwhile Chad holds the saddest house meeting at the Dickie Dollar Scholars. Pete questions his presence especially since he is the only one in attendance. Apparently it’s regarding Boone’s last will and to all our surprise, Boone has left all of his goods and unmentionables to Pete Martinez. I think we are all with Chad this time around, “Were you and Boone secret gay lovers?” Pete claims Boone was his source inside the Dickie Dollar Scholars purely for investigation purposes.

However, we can’t ignore the fact that Pete is a Dickie Dollar reject. We finally get a glimpse of his experience with the Greek system, or the lack of it. Pete failed as a pledge for not possessing the skills and music taste needed to be part of the brotherhood; “Given the fact that you don’t even have a rad ab routine, your body Pete Martinez is not a wonderland.” Outch! After getting their hate for each other out in the open, Chad comes up with a solution; he invites Pete to join the Dickie Dollar Scholars. Pete “graciously” declines the invitation which leads Chad to declare a duel of death. Pete runs out for fitting the fight leaving his life up for grabs.

Grace and Chanel pay a visit to Dean Munsch to try their luck with the poison. They offer her an olive branch to invite her into their “Millennial Feminist” club. Nothing yells out welcome more than yummy macarons and apple cider. The Kappa girls have done their research on Dean Munsch to find out something irresistible to her. Too bad she chugged the entire jar without a flinch. It seems like Puffer fish venom got nothing on her.

Frustrated by the freak of nature, Grace vents to Pete who is actually happy about the plan’s failed outcome. He doesn’t want Grace to turn into the very people she is fighting against, even though it means bringing an end to a murdering streak. Pete wants Grace to remain innocent and true. He really got into her head because not too long after Grace gets voted out of the Kappa House for deciding not to kill Dean Munsch.

Wes and Pete are digging up dirt for their own investigation. After realizing he knew nothing about Gigi’s life, Wes seek Pete’s help to uncover her history. Pete discovers Gigi’s true identity; Gigi is the sister of the fourth girl from the bathtub incident who took the baby with her. Unfortunately she failed to stay above the traumatic stress and lost her life; which explains Gigi’s motivation to go after the Kappa House and Dean Munsch.

Meanwhile, the Chanels are determined to take another shot at Dean Munsch; freeze her to death in the cryogenic chamber. They lure her over with the pretense of having a girls’ spa day. In the shadows about the death trap, Dean Munsch is more than excited about going into the Cryo Sauna. After she gets in, the girls turn the dial to “Human Snowman”. Skeptical about the extremely quiet Cryo session, they open the chamber expecting to see the dead body of Dean Munsch. At first what seemed like the icy statue of her comes to life crushing everyone’s hopes. She is STILL alive! Dean Munsch is worse than a post apocalyptic cockroach.

Pete is in a hurry to pack up and leave campus. We can’t really blame him especially after Boone’s last will. He gets a call that he is not too happy to take. Pete is starting to sound like a killer more and more each passing minute. He hangs up after urging the caller to flee the campus and never to contact him ever again. Do I sense regret in his voice? Is he capable of murder?

Back at the Kappa House Chanel still hasn’t given up on “Operation: Kill Dean Munsch”. They have a brainstorm session which leads her to another genius plan; drown Dean Munsch in the pool. She gives all the girls new phones strictly for this mission. Too bad they were all too busy arguing about unflattering lingerie tags. Dean Munsch gets away yet again. In response, Chanel starts one of her famous angry emails to the Kappa sisters.

This week ends with Grace finally being ready to spend the night with Pete. After all the recent events and getting kicked out of the sisterhood, Grace is seriously in need of a “pick me up”. Pete hesitates to make an advance towards her, and she practically begs to be with him. However, I’m sure Pete’s last response put all those urges to rest; “I can’t, because I don’t want your first time to be with a murderer.” WHA????? It’s all going down next week.

Only two more episodes left pledges.
Until next week, keep on Screaming!
