Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con! Meeting Aliens Star Jenette Goldstein! The Sci-Fi Museum! Hot Topic! Convention Floor! And More!
Comikaze… I mean Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con was this past weekend. You might have seen some of the awesome cosplay we shared earlier.
Suddenly Susan and I headed out to the con and had such a blast. The place was packed! I’ve never seen so many people at Comikaze before, it was madness.
The first stop we made was at the Sci-Fi Museum which had a mini Aliens reunion of sorts.
I’ve met most of the cast but needed Jenette Goldstein who was Vasquez to sign my Aliens mini poster. Before that thought, they had a power loader there and I had to get a picture in it. Super cool. It was a little awkward, I admit to climb into the seat, but it was pretty cool.
Then I talked with Jenette Goldstein for a bit. I told her how bummed I was that she cancelled at the other con I went to, and she was like, “I’m so sorry.” She was really cool and she signed the poster really nice.
We got a quick photo together as well.
I have to say, I’m really happy with the way the poster is coming along.
There were a lot of other celebrities there as well including Flash Gordon star Sam J. Jones
as well as some stars of The Flash, Star Trek, and a Batman reunion. Pretty fun.
There was a lot of people watching to be had as well. Besides the cosplay I noticed a couple cuddling in the corner which I thought was adorable.
The aisles were really crowded but I managed to visit a bunch of pretty cool vendors. There were a bunch of Pop Vinyl’s for sale everywhere and other memorabilia.
Divine had a very fun presence at the con, with one of her dresses and some memorabilia. It was a really cool display.
The Visitors made an appearance although I didn’t take any rats for a snack. Doh!
Hot Topic has a large booth with some costumes from the new Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts.
I saw an old friend and we got reacquainted. lol.
The Hot Topic stage had a lot of action going on including panels, a fashion show, and more!
One of the best things about the con was the fact that there were so many families there. I love seeing moms, dads and their kids in geek culture. It’s so nice. That’s one of the benefits of Stan Lee’s Comic Con, it’s a real family environment and very positive with something to see for everyone.
Until next time kids…
