Suddenly Susan Checks Out Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con! Aliens! Tardis! Cosplay! Oh My!
Mike and I attended Comikaze, or known by its new name, Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con, on Halloween weekend. We’ve always enjoyed this convention and boy was the floor packed this year!
We got to do our best Ellen Ripley impersonation in a full scale replica of the fork lift suit from ‘Aliens’.
There were plenty of Cosplayers and I just had to get a photo with Ant-Man and Agent 47!
I saw a beautiful coffee mug from Outlander that I just had to snap a photo of for Alicia and Shika.
Of course there was the bin of loose action figures. If you’re looking to complete an obscure set with that one missing character, you just mind find it here!
Now, I love my Pop Vinyls, but have they gone too far with the rapist thug from ‘A Clockwork Orange”? Sorry, but you just can’t make that cute.
We found what we thought was an old school boom box but it was actually a DVD player!! The tiny screen in the center will play your favorite movie on disc. That’s’ pretty cool.
I stopped for a quick time travel in the replica Tardis
and then found myself next to a scary mural.
It was a fun and tiring day. Another great year for Comikaze (SLLACC). In the end, even the doggie cosplayers needed to take a break.
See you at the next convention!!

Two articles from Suddenly Susan in one day! I love the shirt Susan, you look great!
I wonder if that was the original power loader… I doubt it to be honest, it’s a great photo though.
Thanks Janet – it was nice to have Karl Urban on my chest all day – right where he belongs!
Keith – it was definetly a replica – we asked 🙂
Nice pics. I thought the con sucked but hey it’s an afternoon out of the basement
