This week I went out to meet fashion icon André Leon Talley. If you have opened a Vogue or W magazine between the years 1983-2013, you have seen and probably loved Andre’s work. He was Fashion News Director for Vogue from 1983-1987, Creative Director for Vogue from 1988-1995, served as a Contributing Editor for Vogue and worked for W magazine from 1995-1998, and returned to Vogue full time as Editor-At-Large from 1998-2013. He is also responsible for influencing top designers to utilize more African American Models during their runway shows.

Andre was in town promoting a new documentary about his life entitled, The Gospel According to André. The film was wonderful and the conversation with André, director Kate Novak, and producer Andre Rossi was not only interesting, but also entertaining. I was able to get Andre to sign a picture for me after the Q & A. It was a fun evening.
