Wow, some interesting rumors coming out regarding the future of The Avengers films and the wrap up of Marvel’s Phase 3.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron is coming out next year and with it comes a whole heap of speculation. Well, now it looks like there’s even more rumors about the new film.
It seems that Age of Ultron might be so epic that it’s going to be split into two different films. Yep, The Avengers: Age Of Ultron Parts one and two.
Movieweb has the scoop. Why not wring some extra cash out of the movie right? Twilight, Hunger Games, Divergent, etc.. have all done it. While this would be the first time an “original” film would do it, if the fight is epic enough, I suppose that it could warrent a split.
As Movieweb says, if they are bringing Guardians of the Galaxy into the mix, it might be too big for one flick. So, instead of rushing the story, doing two movies could be a good thing.
Vin Diesel has been quoted as saying, “[We had] A great meeting. It was even talking about something so big I can’t even talk about because it’s like the merging of brands in a way, which I won’t get into. That was something way, way, way, way, way down the road.”
The plan apparently is The Avengers 3 will open May 2018 followed by The Avengers 4 in May 2019.
So, I guess we shall see if that rumor is true!
