Throwback Thurs! The Walking Dead Season 5 Premiere! Andrew Lincoln! Norman Reedus! Melissa McBride! And More!
This was an insane yet really fun today. With the Walking Dead about to return to AMC I thought that this would be a fun Flashback Thurs.
The Walking Dead premiere’s when they had them here in Los Angeles, were a crazy intense time. But totally worth going to.
Check out the recap below!
Just look at the flowers Lizzie…
How can you not love The Walking Dead? Seriously? I think it’s one of the best shows on TV period. I just binge watched the fourth season and damn… Just damn…
When I found out there was a Walking Dead premiere, I wasn’t prepared. Physically or emotionally. It was sort of last minute, unlike years past the premiere wasn’t really out there information wise. But thankfully, and a huge thanks to Chris for heading down and saving me a spot. Seriously bro, you rock.
I was in the second row, but it was an awesome spot. Plus, Ace and his brother Alex who came out of retirement just for this were also on hand. It was a great group to hang with in the sweltering heat.
OTG John was also on hand and I think we were all prepared for a crazy day. It is the Walking Dead after all. The fanbase is huge, and most of the cast is super cool. Top of the list is Norman Reedus, the man, they myth, the legend. God love him.
I have the “Terminus” set of posters with me and a bunch of magazines as well. It’s the Walking Dead people!
Finally, the time has started… The moment that we all hoped for.
Seth Gilliam is the first arrival, he’s new in the cast this season, super cool and just as he comes over my camera dies. Seriously, dead.. Battery exhausted.
Doh…
So…. Things might get a bit messy here. I whipped out my iphone and did the best I could.
Alanna Masterson is next, she is so nice. She comes over and signs away.
Oh dear, there he is… Mr. Norman Reedus. Okay, the man is a legend. He’s so cool. He comes right on over and signs his life away.
He even goes around the side to sign, and then comes back around the corner. I mean, the man signs and poses for photos, and is just the pinnacle of awesome. Every time I see him, he’s amazing. I heart Norman Reedus!
Michael Cudlitz is next and he is so happy to sign and talk to people. Just super chill.
And there he is… Mr. Andrew Lincoln. Along with Norman Reedus, Andrew Lincoln is so nice. He signs and signs in our spot.
He was happy to sign a couple posters for me and then I have my Rolling Stone magazine and also an Entertainment Weekly as well. He was just like a machine!
Josh McDermitt is here and he comes over to sign. Danai Gurira arrives at the same time and says, I’ll sign after and goes right to the carpet. Ugh…
Holy shit, there’s Emily Kinney! I had to flip through my posters because she came out of nowhere! She was adorable! She signed my individual poster and my cast poster as well.
There’s Chad Coleman. He’s super cool and comes right on over. Such a nice guy.
Lawrence Gilliard Jr. is here now. He’s really cool as well and comes out to sign.
And now it’s my favorite! Melissa Mcbride! I love her! Carol is the best! Melissa takes a second and then comes on over. She has a great signature. Melissa Mcbride is awesome, and signs my individual poster and then signed my cast piece as well.
Seriously, Melissa Mcbride is so good The Walking Dead. Just look at the flowers…
Robert Kirkman! The man! He’s always so nice. He comes around and signs and signs.
Steven Yeun arrives and goes to the carpet. He “says” he’ll come back. Uh huh…
Lauren Cohen arrives and skips our section, She signs around and runs over and signs one for Chris and then runs away. Sigh…
Sonequa Martin-Green said she would come over but she didn’t make it to us.
It was a bit of a bummer that Danai Gurira didn’t sign, and that Steven wasn’t that cool. Thankfully, the rest of the cast is super awesome. There’s nothing like Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln. Seriously, two of the most awesome people ever.
Thanks so much to the cast of The Walking Dead!
Until next time kids…
