Throwback Thurs! Telling The Blunt Truth! Meeting The Devil Wears Prada Star Emily Blunt! Autographs! And More!

I love me some Emily Blunt. She is so funny and she was so nice when I met her back in the day. Now, I hear she’s not as nice these days, perhaps John Krasinski is rubbing off with her. Anyway, back when Emily Blunt was promoting The Adjustment Bureau she was super cool.

Did I ever mention my love of fiery redheads? I know I have… But I posed the question anyway… hmmmm does that make me crazy… maybe a little… lol…. Anyway, I’m off for one of my favorite fiery redheads Ms. Emily Blunt. I’ve been a fan of Emily’s for a while, I mean Devil Wears Prada… HELLO! I also loved Sunshine Cleaning, and I’m super jazzed for The Adjustment Bureau! Anyway, Ms. Blunt or Mrs. Blunt… lol. Is making a television talk show appearance and I really want a photo with her… so crossing my fingers that will happen!

6:32 p.m. – I just arrived… Damn… I know I know it’s “Mike complains about traffic time.” Seriously though, what the hell? Does Satan live under the 405 and is he trying to torture me slowly?

6:45 p.m. – I have my Adjustment Bureau mini poster that Matt Damon already signed for me, and a magazine for Emily.

7:02 p.m. – Two words… Red Paint Pen… Okay three words… Red Paint Pen! LOL… I’m obsessive I know, and lately I’m obsessed with the red paint pen… lol… Call me crazy my mom does!

7:11 p.m. – Come to think of it, my grandmother calls me crazy too… Hmmmm

7:25 p.m. – It’s actually a beautiful night out. I’m happy about that. Not that I want to be sitting in an ally way all day, but if I had to, this isn’t that bad. Lol… CB is here as well, and agrees with me.

7:27 p.m. – There are a lot of pretty cool people here today. We’re just chilling, talking Joss Whedon, waiting for Emily Blunt… Good times. Apparently on the way in Emily didn’t even look over, wave, nothing… But you never know.

7:32 p.m. – I have a few extra Adjustment Bureau mini posters, so I’m handing them out. I feel like a crack dealer… “Hey kids, you want some Adjustment Bureau mini posters…?” LOL… Oh God…

7:39 p.m. – There are about 20 people here, so it’s not too nuts. I thought there would be more, but you never really know. I mean for Matt Bomer there were like 50 people, and for Emily Blunt 20 people? It’s a tad strange you know?

7:48 p.m. – She could be out at anytime… CB is getting made fun of for his deep appreciation of Paul Walker’s history of work. He’s insisting that Running Scared is a classic. What? You didn’t hear of Running Scared? I’m shocked… No, not the Gregory Hines Billy Crystal buddy flick, Paul Walker’s direct to DVD “classic.” Welcome to the 99.99999999 % of America who doesn’t know Running Scared starring Paul Walker. LOL… I enjoy teasing CB but he knows it’s all in fun…

7:52 p.m. – Oh, I think something is happening….

7:54 p.m. – The door is opening and yep… That’s Emily! She’s leaving… Everyone calls out for her and she pauses. She looks over and talks to her people.

7:55 p.m. – We all think she says something, but now it looks like she’s going to leave. Everyone is yelling for her but she looks like… yeah she’s leaving! Dammit!

7:56 p.m. – Wait, now she’s running… yes, running back. I think she just had to put something in her car! Emily Blunt comes over to us and signs CB’s poster, and he yells “Wait! Can you sign them in the red paint pen?”

Emily laughs and says, “Oh you guys!” lol… She grabs the red paint pen and signs right on the only red part of the Adjustment Bureau poster. Lol… Okay… God Bless her! Lol…

7:57 p.m. – Emily signs my poster as well, and then I asked her for a photo. She says, “Sure!” Emily is adorable and super sweet. She goes down the entire line. I think she did photo with everyone who asked.

7:59 p.m. – her publicist says, “Only one guys.” So, she basically would sign one thing each and then did a photo.

I think that’s the perfect way to do it. This way everyone got something. I mean you can’t ask for more than that. I’m stoked because I love me some Devil Wear Prada and I’m super excited for The Adjustment Bureau.

I’m going to see it tomorrow, and I’ve heard it’s great! Whoo hoo!
