Sony Casts Their New Spider-Man! Plus They Picked A Director For The New Film As Well!

There’s a new Spider-Man in town kids. It’s official, Sony and Marvel have announced that the next Spider-Man will be The Impossible star Tom Holland.

There was a huge massive search for the next Spider-Man which many suggest will make an appearance in the new Captain America film.

Spider-Man will get his own big screen shot on July 28, 2017 in a stand alone film. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal are producing the new movie and apparently, Tom Holland went through numerous meetings before landing the coveted job.

Hopefully, the new reboot will be another origin story, because no one knows how Peter Parker became Spider-Man… Oh wait.

I have enjoyed Tom Holland’s work thus far and I hear he’s great in the upcoming In the Heart of the Sea. Jon Watts is stepping into the director’s chair. He did Cop Car, a new thriller that just debuted at sundance.
