Store cancels autograph event with Broncos player after he kneels during anthem

Prime Time Sports has canceled next weekend’s autograph signing event with Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall following his decision to take a knee during the national anthem last week.The sports store issued a statement Monday:”Due to the overwhelming response we have received from our valued customers and the surrounding community, this event has been canceled. All tickets purchased will be fully refunded.”

Actor and well-documented Redskins fan Matthew McConaughey is at Monday’s season opener against the Steelers at FedEx Field with his wife, Camila Alves. McConaughey, who inspired the Redskins with a speech at a charity event before their Week 4 win over the Eagles last season, roamed the sidelines before Monday’s game and chatted with current and former players, including rookie Su’a Cravens.
