TV Heartbeat! The Walking Dead and Fargo Premieres! Last Kingdom! Crazy Ex-Girlfriend!

Zombies invade! While Fear the Walking Dead wrapped up last week, The Walking Dead and iZombie are back this week. Guard your brains!

Walking Dead season 6

BBC America is launching The Last Kingdom, an ambitious series about Alfred the Great who united England for the first time. Big cast, big sets and big source material, this should be epic!

Oh hey there! Fargo is also back! This second season is set in a different decade and won’t feature any of the stellar cast members from the brilliant first season. But, the show is still being run by Noah Hawley so let’s hope this doesn’t go the way of True Detective’s second season which wasn’t the same without the cast and director Cary Fukunaga. The second season of Fargo features Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, Ted Danson, Patrick Wilson, Jean Smart, a waffle house, dead bodies and lots of snow. So much snow…

Chicago Fire is also back! I’m busting with spoilers I can’t talk about, but I can say there are a couple of new cast members (Brian White and Steven R. McQueen) who really mix up people’s roles on the squad.

Health check

The CW is so confident in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend that they’ve already ordered more scripts of the musical comedy originally developed for Showtime. So not quite a full season, but that’s a great sign. Similarly, iZombie’s also got a few more scripts to write so things are looking up for more adventures with Liv.

iZombie season 2

Blood & Oil are not a good mix as ratings took a nose dive. Minority Report is in the same boat. That didn’t impact Quantico which looks good to play out the season.

Stay tuned!
