Box Office Breakdown! Liam Neeson Is Non-Stop! Son Of God Hits #2! Lego Movie Hangs On To #3!

Dios mios, my winning streak is over! Jesus was in the lead on Friday and the two top movies were neck and neck on Saturday, but Liam Neeson squeaked out with the box office win. The airborne thriller Non-Stop took the top spot with $30 million.

Son of God took second place with $26.5 million. Not bad for a ten-hour History Channel miniseries that was re-edited for the big screen.

The tiny plastic heroes of The LEGO Movie came in at number three with $21 million, bringing their domestic total to $209 million in three weeks!

The Monuments Men climbed UP a spot to number four with $5 million. The film’s $69 million domestic total is still a bit shy of its $70 million budget.

3 Days to Kill dropped down to the number five spot with just $4.9 million.

Robocop slipped even further to the number six spot with $4.5 million. It’s a safe bet to say we won’t be seeing Robocop 2.

Pompeii dropped all the way to number seven with just $4.3 million. With a $100 million budget, this is definitely an embarrassment for TriStar.

Like a child’s tongue on a metal pole in winter, Frozen stuck at number eight with another $3.6 million.

About Last Night came in at number nine with $3.4 million, bringing tis domestic total to $43 million. With a
modest budget of $12 million, Kevin Hart can call this a hit on his growing resume.

Rounding out the top ten was the other Kevin Hart comedy, Ride Along, which brought in another $3 million after seven weeks in release.
