Victory is mine! Guardians of the Galaxy held onto the top spot this weekend with $16.3 million and a domestic total of $274 million, making it the top grossing movie of 2014!
Ninja Turtles held at number two with $11.7 million for a domestic total of $162 million. Cowabunga indeed!
If I Stay also held its spot at number three with $9.2 million. With a domestic total of $30 million and a budget of just $11 million, this teen tear jerker is a hit.
As Above So Below opened at number four with $8.3 million. Its safe to say the “found footage” genre is over.
Let’s Be Cops nabbed another $8.2 million at number five for a domestic total of $57.3 million and a probable sequel as well.
The November Man opened at number six with just $7.6 million. Post Bond Pierce Brosnan has not done too well.
When the Game Stands Tall was off sides at number seven with $5.6 million.
The Giver took another $5.2 million at number eight and will now get a little profit with a domestic total of $31.5 million.
The Hundred Foot Journey whipped up another $4.6 million at number nine.
The Expendables 3 rounded out the top ten with $3.5 million. All that star power didn’t help ticket sales at all.
