I love me some Zoe Saldana! I should have come for this but my week of cranky-time prevented it. I’ve been a cranky fanboy, I admit it. LOL…

The Star Trek Into Darkness publicity onslaught is in full gear and tonight I’m trying for Zoe Saldana. It’s a good-size crowd crammed into a very tight space, but I’m in the second row and in good position so it shouldn’t be too bad, right? Right?

Zoe arrives and almost immediately heads toward us. Yeah!

As she starts to sign, someone from behind me starts to pull me back, away from the barricade. What?!!

He’s pulling me back with one hand and pushing his own stuff forward with the other. Uh huh. Seriously. This is the same guy who I previously got him a Zoe signature at the Spirit Awards. Now he’s pulling me out of contention for the exact same person. Yes, irony can be pretty ironic!

There’s a ton of pushing and shoving so Zoe doesn’t linger too long. Needless to say, I got nothing which is very disappointing. Still, I decide to wait for her to exit the event — on the (small) chance she’ll be super nice and sign again. Sigh!

She takes her time so it’s quite a bit later when she leaves. Somehow the empty barricade, but is completely of people with photos for her to sign. We call for her, but she seems to be hiding and heads towards her car. I clearly yell out “Zoe, I’ve been waiting for hours and you skipped me earlier!”

Alas, she heads to her car. Drat! Ah well! She signed on the way in so I didn’t expect her to do it again.

We disperse from the barricade and are half a block away when we hear a cry from the barricade. I turn around and see Zoe is coming over! Wow! She’s actually waving her arms to call us back to the barricade! No way!

We rush back and Zoe goes down the line with her handler who is limiting us to one each. Zoe makes sure she runs down the line and gets everyone. No way!

How many celebrities sign on the way in and out to an event?
How many would return after heading to their car?
How many actually wave fans over to them so they can sign for more people?!?

Truly she was being exceptionally nice and making her bid for the Hall of Fame 2013 here on Mike the Fanboy. Yeah!
