Top 10 Fanboy Moments of 2025

2025 was a year of many ups and downs for me personally.  So, for those times that were not the best, I thank my friends who always met me with a smile or hug on the streets.  Our goal was to get that signature or photo op, but I think we can all agree that it would not have been as much fun if we had not been out there together.  So, in the spirit of reflecting on the fun fanboy/fangirl moments, here is my top 10:

1. Jennifer Lopez – I have been lucky enough get JLo to sign for me in the past, but I have never had the chance to get the photo with her.  I love Jennifer’s movies and music, so to get the photo with her was a top spot on my list on “wants”.  Well, 2025 was the year it finally happened!  Thank you Jennifer for always being so fan friendly, and stopping to take the picture with me!

2. Breakfast Club – I am not a fan of conventions, but when I saw that the entire cast of the Breakfast Club was going to be at the C2E2 fan convention in Chicago, I was not going to miss my chance to get a picture with all of them and get a poster signed.  It was a memorable trip for sure.

3. Gwyneth Paltrow – Gwnyeth is rarely out, so to get her to sign two times in one year is just awesome!  I was the biggest fan in the late 90s.  I was trying to get all of her movies’ one sheet poster.  I now have “Sliding Doors”, “Shakespeare In Love”, and “Great Expectations” signed by Gwyneth!  So thrilled!

4. Kate Hudson – I have been huge Kate Hudson fan for a long time.  She is not out very often, and it is not the easiest to get a picture with her.  That changed this year.  She was so over the top friendly.  I still can’t believe it happened.

5. Demi Moore – Demi has not made appearances in ages.  In 2025, we were able to see her more than a few times.  Were those encounters successful each time?  No.  But we did get her to sign for us three times!  I was even able to get a photo with her.  Major score!

6. Arthur Elgort – It was so exciting to meet the legendary photographer.  He photographed all the supermodels in the 90s and has captured some of the most amazing images in fashion history.

7. Sasha and Digweed – I was elated to meet and have these two EDM pioneers sign my vinyl and get to hear their set to boot! Although it was pouring rain outside, the night was one for the books inside the venue.

8. Annie Lennox – Annie Lennox was about and about promoting her book of photographs spanning her career.  She was kind enough to sign extra items and made my year with her generosity.

9. Richard Butler – The Psychedelic Furs’ frontman is still over the top kind.  I was so excited to get some items signed by him this year!

10. Tom Cruise – Recently, Tom made a now rare appearance in Los Angeles.  It was exciting to see him and get a couple of my Rollin Stone magazines signed!

Honorable Mention

The Killers: 20 Years of Hot Fuss – WOW!  What an amazing night with one of my favorite bands ever.  To experience the final night of the residency in the front on the barricade, was a night I will never forget.  I heard they recorded it for a possible DVD release.  I am keeping my fingers crossed!
