Karalee Is The Boss! When She Meets Sexy Alyssa Milano! Samantha Micelli In Person! Along With Darius Rucker! Autographs! Photos! And More!

Growing up in 1980s, there were some truly awesome shows. One of them that I watched all the time was Who’s The Boss? I don’t know what it was, but that show was so much fun.

Who didn’t love Samantha Micelli? Girls wanted to be her, guys wanted to date her.

If you grew up in the ‘80s, “Who’s the Boss?” was likely a staple show in your household, and Alyssa Milano was the “IT” girl of the time. Yes, long before Miley and Selena, it was Alyssa who captured hearts and magazine covers. I loved her. I wanted her sass and her hair (not necessarily in that order). So when I found out she was taping a talk show appearance, I decided to try and see if I could meet one of my ‘80s faves.

I arrive and pony up next to Billy Beer and Travis; counting them, the waiting group is less than 10. Shortly after I arrive, we’re told by security that we need to move to the other side of the alley, as they’ll be filming in our current area later that day (more on that in a bit).

After walking around, we line up at the barricade and wait. Also on the show’s guest list tonight: rapper Ludacris, promoting “Fast and Furious 6,” and Darius Rucker, of Hootie and the Blowfish fame. Many of us firmly believe Luda will not walk over, especially given he was the only cast member to not sign at the “Fast 6” movie premiere the night before. But some hold out hope. Most, however, are here for Alyssa.

Darius is the first to arrive and he waves, says hi and goes inside. Sound check time. I have a feeling he’ll stop by at some point.

When Alyssa arrives, we call for her and it seems like she wants to come over, but as is often the case, she’s quickly ushered inside. I’m fairly confident she’ll come over when she exits.

Ludacris arrives a few minutes after Alyssa and we get nada, zip, zilch. He doesn’t even turn around. OK, then. Message received.

While we wait for the show to film, we snack on pretzels, exchange recipes,…you know, the usual.
Darius comes out and heads to the outdoor concert stage. He says he’ll come over after he performs. Cool guy.
Oh, there goes Jimmy, to join Darius on the stage. He says hi but doesn’t come over. No bigs.

We see Alyssa exiting and call for her.

No need to really, as she comes straight over, no hesitation. She’s just lovely. How is she 40 years old?! Just stunning.

She signs pretty much everything; I only heard her say no to one thing.

I’m lucky enough to snag a quick photo with her and Billy and Travis both get their items signed.

She was great and really so chill and sweet with the crowd. Tony would be proud.

Ludacris exits shortly after Alyssa. Wait, “exits” isn’t the right word. He literally ran out of the studio. RAN! Really, Ludacris? In the picture, look for the white T-shirt.

That’s him. Running. Yup. Some graphers ran around to see if they could get him in his car. Yeah, good luck with that.

Now, Darius is on stage performing. We essentially enjoy a free concert while waiting; he sounds great. True to his word, he exits the stage and comes right to us.

Chatting, signing, taking pics — very anti-Luda. Billy talks to him about a concert years ago back in East Lansing, MI and Darius totally remembers. Very cool to hear him talk about Michigan and that show. I really enjoyed meeting him; super nice guy.

Oh, and remember how I mentioned we had to move from our original spot because they were going to be filming something? Well, they did and it starred,…the one…the only…John Krasinski! I was dying! I love “The Office,” I love Jim and I just heart John K. beyond belief.

I took a couple of pictures but you can’t really make him out — just trust me, it was him. They filmed his segment with dozens of extras. It involved him trying to scale a fence in a ski mask. I’ll be interested to see it when it airs.

Sadly, he didn’t come over to us. That would have been the cherry on top. But honestly, not getting him wasn’t a big defeat in my eyes. I wanted to meet Alyssa and I did — and she couldn’t have been sweeter. Luda went the way I thought it would. And Darius was an unexpected bright spot. Seeing John Krasinski — even from afar — was just fun.
