It’s Throwback Thurs! I’ve been on a Walking Dead kick since reviewing the past season, so I thought this was the prefect Throwback Thurs!

I’ve been super stoked for today! I am such a huge fan of AMC’s The Walking Dead, and today is an exclusive sneak peak at the season 2 premiere episode with a Q and A by practically the entire cast. It is followed by a catered reception. I know right… How Mike The Fanboy fancy! lol…

When I first saw the Walking Dead I wasn’t even sure what to expect, but then I broke down and bought season 1 on DVD. From the first episode I was hooked. HOOKED I say…

5:45 p.m. – I just got in line and was joined by fellow collector and friend Gregg. Everyone else is out and about at the Real Steel premiere wallowing in Hugh Jackman-ness… lol… I prefer Zombies to the Jackman…

5:55 p.m. – The screening starts at 7:00 and I’m stoked… The entire cast is supposed to be here, and it should be pretty cool. I have my DVD slipcover cause my friend Femi is borrowing the season 1 set… and I also have a mini poster as well.

6:03 p.m. – Oh, and I have my friend Scott’s X-Files poster for Laurie Holden. He insists that Laurie was a big part of the series. Scott wrote the article about meeting Chris Carter and Gillian Anderson here…

6:21 p.m. – We’re going in… So excited!

6:34 p.m. – These screenings are really rare but so great to go to. They are very special, and it’s a great chance for me to actually use my SAG Card… HEH HEH HEH…

7:01 p.m. – Okay, the screening is going to start. It’s a 90 minute premiere…

8:33 p.m. – Wow, Okay… I love the Walking Dead, but this… THIS premiere was AWESOME! If you are a fan of the Walking Dead you will love the season premiere, and the ending… Was like… Holy Shit! I mean… The hour and a half flew by… I wanted more… and that’s super rare for me… The ending…… Wow… Just Wow…

8:35 p.m. – The Q and A has started, and everyone in the main cast is pretty much here with the exception of Andrew Lincoln who had a death in the family.

Bummer… I could recap the Q and A but instead I would rather include the video, it’s easier, and way better to hear from the actor’s themselves….

9:02 p.m. – Okay, the Q and A is over and was really good. The cast is literally just hanging around, lol… I first get to meet Chandler Riggs who plays Carl Grimes on the series… he’s super nice… I mean this cast is really all down to earth.

9:03 p.m. – Then I get to meet Sarah Wayne Callies who plays Lori grimes. She is more than happy to sign and do photos… This is literally like such a low key event, lol… There are probably only like seven people asking for autographs… More people do want photos though…

9:04 p.m. – Now, I ask Laurie Holden to sign, I get her on my mini poster and then ask her if she would mind signing my friend’s X-Files poster.

She was like, “oh sure.” I then think I babbled cause I got nervous, ah well… Who knows what the hell I said… Sigh… All I know is it ended with Laurie saying, “You’re a really good friend…” lol…

9:06 p.m. – Norman Reedus who plays one of my favorite character Daryl is just chilling and taking photos with anyone who asks. I talked to him for a hot second and then he signs my mini poster and my DVD sleeve. Super nice guy, and so accommodating…

9:11 p.m. – The cast is doing group photos now on the stage. I have to make sure and get Jon Bernthal… before he heads out… All the cast are hanging about on the stage…

9:12 p.m. – The cast is just chilling together…

9:14 p.m. – Photos are done and I get to talk to Jon for a second. He signs for me and then crouches down to take a photo. Such a nice guy. He thanks me for watching the show and being a fan. Notice the shaved head… Apparently that happens later on in the season!

9:16 p.m. – I notice that Jeffrey DeMunn is heading out to the reception so I walk over to him and ask for a photo. Again, this cast is super down to earth. We chat for a second, and he signs and does the photo with me… Super cool.

9:18 p.m. – I head out into the reception to try and find Steven Yeun… He’s actually in the corner talking to James Kyson Lee from Heroes… Someone else went up and Gregg is like, “Go, that girl’s breaking the ice.” So, after that girl got her photo I went up and got one as well. As well as a couple autographs.

Dude, this was such a fun night. Thanks again to Gregg for taking photos for me, lol… I just love being able to meet people in these low key settings and really have a minute to talk to them. It’s such a treat. Guys, make sure and tune into the Walking Dead Season 2 Premiere Tues 10-16!
