Awesome Anushika Shares Her Twilight Obsession and Talks About Meeting Ashley Green and Jackson Rathbone! Alice Cullen and Jasper Hale!

You know, I don’t understand the whole Twilight craze, I just don’t, however I can relate to the passion. I mean I love my vampires, Buffy! Hello! And I totally understand the forbidden love… He’s a vampire, she’s an awkward human, and the werewolves… It’s just too much! Lol…

Seriously, though. As any American/Canadian male can, I get it. I kid of course, but I get it. Awesome Anushika, is one of the biggest Twihards around, I mean like… Wow… HA! And I totally love it. The thing I love most about her passion is her love of the whole series and not just Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner.

Today, Anushika is sharing her love and experiences meeting a Twilight couple! None other than Jasper and Alice! Ms. Ashley Green and Jackson Rathbone!

I don’t know if it was the joy of reading the whole series with my friends, day dreaming about hot mysterious guys with super natural powers, or just relating to most of the awkward moments you go through as a teenager, I just really don’t know, but I totally enjoyed and fell for the whole Twilight series. Regardless of how awful the movies turned out, I loved every bit of its cheesy brilliance. You know, they are one of those AWESOME bad movies. It’s such a train wreck that you just can’t look away! Lol =D

I embrace the Twilight madness in small doses. If you have been reading my posts, you very well know that I’ve been chasing down the cast one by one…after two years I finally finished one of my favorite couples from the movie, Alice & Jasper! =)

 
It all began when I received this Amazing Birthday gift from my big sis Natasha. She got me a pass to the Hot Topic DVD Pre-release signing. Back then I was still living in Santa Barbara, and I was having my last final of the quarter that Sat., the same day as the event. To make things worse, it was a 7pm Organic Chemistry final! O_o Why???

Around 9pm I literally ran out of the hall and kept running all the way to my apartment off campus where I jumped into my dad’s awaiting car like a mad ferret. I love my parents for accepting my craziness. We tried to get to LA as soon as possible, but LA traffic didn’t fail to kill my precious time. I kept texting Natasha every 20mins updating her on my whereabouts.

We managed to reach Hollywood around 10.30pm and I quickly met up with Natasha and headed over to Hot Topic.

The line went out the store, through the bridge and down the stairs. A huge crowd, but I wasn’t too worried since I had a pass.

Then again, you never know what will go on in these events. They didn’t tell us in advance who will be at the signing. We just knew it will be one of the cast members.

Of course we were all hoping to see Rob Pattinson, but we got word that he appeared at the Hot Topic in New York. Bummer! Anyway, the line started to move and we could finally see the store now. There were camera crews and a LOT of security. Who is inside??? WHO???

It’s Ashley Greene!!!!!! =D I LOVE Alice!!!! She is definitely one of my favorite characters in the series. As we got closer to the entrance, the security checked our passes and let us in. It was pretty crowded, and Ashley is next to a stack of DVDs signing her life away.

Security didn’t let anyone linger and tried to keep the crowd moving. She was very sweet and quiet. When it was my turn, I thanked her and she smiled. Wish she talked a bit more, but hey I’m not complaining. I just got my very first Twilight autograph! Woot Woot! ^vv^

Thanks again Nat!!! I was out of the store before I knew it. On my way out, guess who I see standing in the corner, Edwars Cullen!!! =D

well….at least his life size cardboard cut-out lol It was an Exciting night and my Twilight cast hunt began that day….

After two years and two more movies later I was fortunate to get a chance to meet none other than Jackson Rathbone, Jasper Hale himself!!! He was out and about promoting the new Breaking Dawn-Part-I. I heard he is not the easiest cast member to get and the fact that he is coming all the way from London after attending the premiere there, he might not be in the best moods. You can’t blame them; it gets tiring with all the events and traveling. 

Anyway, I was still willing to try my luck and was hoping for the best. I arrived around 2.30pm to see a crowd of 20 people. This set-up isn’t the easiest, but I was not about to give up just yet. Security put up barricades around 5.15pm and I managed to secure a spot right up front. Yay! =D

Now I have more hope. We all wait for another hour or so before we see movement. The security opened the gates and we were too far to recognize the figures that came through. One of the guys might be Jackson, but it was hard to tell. We didn’t want to miss our chance, so we all started yelling his name. It’s Jackson!!!!! Jasper!!!! ^vv^ He looked back at us and started waving, however he kept going all the way up to the entrance and he is half way inside. We really thought he was going to go in, but then he talked to security and came right on over to us after leaving his stuff behind. We were all SO thrilled and started cheering! =D

Jackson was a complete sweetheart! He was talking to everyone and was thanking everyone individually for coming and for all the support. He went up and down the entire barricade and beyond, signing multiples for everyone.

Unfortunately, he didn’t take pictures with anyone since he didn’t have much time. Security kept telling us he had to go in soon and that he only had 5 minutes. So he kept signing and signing to make sure he got everyone! =) He was SO friendly and TOTALLY made my day!
 

I finally managed to finish the cute couple after two years. Again, I know they aren’t brilliant actors, but they entertain me and I do enjoy every bit of their awkward cheesy moments on screen! ^_^  Anyway, my hunt continues…. I have three more couples to go…Oy vey! Lol…
