I have to tell you, I really enjoy both Dakota and Elle Fanning. I just think that both of them are amazing actresses. Elle was so good in We Bought A Zoo, and Dakota… Well… She’s amazing. I thought she rocked The Runaways.
Anyway, Billy Beer headed out to try and meet the young starlet, and of course get some stuff signed.
Check out his full report after the jump!
Welcome back to Billy Beer’s Barstool. Today, we’re only serving pop and juice (yeah, I call it pop) in the bar today, cause you gotta be 21 to drink at this bar. Today we are hanging out with the talented Elle Fanning. Elle is starring in the movie Ginger and Rosa which has been getting really good reviews. She also starred in the Steven Spielberg movie Super 8. Hmmmm young blonde that stars in a Steven Spielberg movie about aliens. This sounds like the recipe for a superstar in the making (and hopefully not a few rehab stints) So before her ego gets a little big like Bella Thorne (one of Scotty’s favorites!) who stiffed me twice at the Wreck it Ralph Premiere, I thought this would be a good time to add a few more to my collection.
(Editor’s Note: Scotty must love Bella Thorne! He was the only one with an 11×14 photo for her at the Timothy Green premiere! M-)
I was hoping for a low key event today, and when we get there, it’s pretty laid back. There’s about 5-6 people there. I wait around while C.B. spends about 20 minutes trying to find a dime to put in the meter and read every street sign. While this is happening, an SUV pulls into the back. We all start running. Yup, it was Elle. C.B. is screaming at me for his pictures. Probably should have thrown them into the bushes like he did when he had to run with my pictures. We call over for her, and she happily comes over and signs for us through the fence.
They’re trying to be strict by saying one per person, but I got her to sign a second picture of her and I that I took last time I met her.
By the way. I was NOT shorter than her as everyone who sees the picture says! I was wearing sandals, and she had on high heels! I even checked at the time, and she was 5’6″, and I was taller than her. By the way. I was NOT shorter than her as everyone who sees the picture says! (Editor’s Note: Yes, Billy… We all Know… You’re taller than Elle Fanning… Uh huh… It’s okay. M-)
Now although I was happy with the 2 I got, I still had 1 picture left as did C.B., cause he was only able to get 1 of his 3 done (WEAK!). So we decided to wait for her to come out. A few more graphers now arrive. This is where it gets fun. I love hearing stories, and smack talking between graphers. Let’s just say I learned a new meaning for the word “Gummy Bear”.
Elle is finally leaving. Now there’s about 15-20 of us, but she is still a sweetheart. She comes over again and starts signing down the row.
She’s being very talkative telling us she was the Statue of Liberty for Halloween, and what she’s been studying in school. I was hoping for a picture, but the publicist told me just to take pictures of her. I was hoping to redeem myself from the sandal picture, but oh well.
She signs my last thing, and only 1 of C.B. 2 things, then I take a few pictures. I hope as she gets older she stays nice.
Well, it’s starting to get late. All minors must be outta here by 9 pm. Let the real drinking begin. Happy Hour People!
