Box Office Breakdown! Avengers: Age Of Ultron Scores But Not As Much As The First Film! Furious 7 Dethroned!

Avengers Age of Ultron packed a whallup this weekend, but not as big as expected. The Marvel franchise took in $187.6 million, which is $20 million less than its predecessor. The sports world’s biggest bout definitely hurt the superheroes.

The Age of Adaline climbed up a spot to number two with $6.2 million.

Furious 7 was finally de-throned, taking the number three spot with $6.1 million.

Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 tumbled to number four with a not so funny amount of $5.5 million.

Home hung around a bit longer at number five with $3.3 million.

Cinderella made a magical leap up to number six from last week’s number 12 spot with $2.3 million.

Ex Machina dropped a spot to number seven with $2.2 million.

Unfriended continued to drop, stopping at number eight with $1.9 million.

The Longest Ride had a long drop to number nine with $1.7 million.

Rounding out the top ten was Woman in Gold, holding the same spot from last week with $1.6 million.
