Box Office Breakdown! Suicide Squad Holds On For Number One! Ben-Hur Bombs! War Dogs Has No Bark! And More!

Suicide Squad slayed it again for its third week at number one with $20.7 million.

Sausage Party kept it in at number two for a second week with $15.3 million.

War Dogs took a small box office bite, opening at number three with $14.3 million.

(Editor’s Note: Perhaps pairing two of the most annoying actors in history wasn’t the best idea. Just saying. M-)

 

Kubo and the Two Strings lacked wonder, opening at number four with $12.6 million.

Ben-Hur was a big budget flop, opening at number five with $11.35 million.

Pete’s Dragon didn’t take flight, slipping to number six with $11.33 million (final numbers may put Pete ahead of Ben).

Bad Moms were disciplined to number seven with $8 million.

 

Jason Bourne remained under cover at number eight with $7.9 million.

The Secret Life of Pets went for a walk at number nine with $5.7 million.

 

Rounding out the top ten was Florence Foster Jenkins with $4.3 million.
