Box Office Breakdown! No Good Deed Rocks #1! Dolphin Tale 2 Is #2! Guardians Drops To #3! And More!

Looks like I’ve been de-throned by a small thriller that came out of nowhere. No Good Deed took the top spot with $24.5 million. With a budget of just $13 million, this movie is already a hit!

Let’s Be Cops nabbed another $4.3 million in the number five spot.

The Drop opened at number six with $4.2 million. Not the greatest send off for James Gandolfini’s final posthumous film appearance.

If I Stay slipped to number seven with another $4 million and a domestic total of $45 million.

The November Man also dropped swiftly to number eight with $2.7 million and a three week domestic total of $22.4 million. Color this one a stinker.

The Giver took another $2.6 million at number nine for a domestic total of just $41 million. No one really gave much back to this movie.

Rounding out the top ten was The Hundred Foot Journey, which climbed up a spot from last week with $2.4 million. Never underestimate the power of Helen Mirren.

Next week is a tough one. Can Liam Neeson’s latest action yarn, A Walk Among the Tombstones beat the teen star power of The Maze Runner? Or, will the indie gem and all star cast of This is Where I Leave You take the prize? I’ll put my money on The Maze Runner for the win. Tune in to see if I’m right.

Until then, happy movie going!
