Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle remained trapped at number one with $27 million.
The Post made headlines, climbing to number two on wide release with $18.6 million.
The Commuter missed its stop, opening at number three with $13.4 million.
Insidious: the Last Key opened the door at number four with $12.1 million.
The Greatest Showman had the spotlight at number five with $11.8 million.
Star Wars: the Last Jedi went to the dark side at number six with $11.2 million.
Paddington 2 was stuffed, opening at number seven with $10.6 million.
Proud Mary was disappointing, opening at number eight with $10 million.
Pitch Perfect 3 sang the blues at number nine with $5.6 million.
Rounding out the top ten was Darkest Hour with $4.2 million.
