Box Office Breakdown! Mad Max Gets Pitch Slapped! Pitch Perfect Scores Number One! Mad Max A Solid Number Two!

Mad Max got Pitch Slapped! Pitch Perfect 2 took the top spot with $70.3 million, dethroning my winning reign in the process.

Mad Max Fury Road came in second place with $44.4 million.

Avengers Age of Ultron fell to number three with $38.8 million and an impressive $372 domestic gross in three weeks.

Hot Pursuit had cold feet at number four with $5.7 million and a dismal domestic total of $23.5 million.

Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 hung tough at number five with $3.6 million.

Furious 7 still had some gas at number six with $3.6 million for a domestic total of $343.8 million.

The Age of Adaline showed some wear at number seven with $3.2 million.

Home was far away at number eight with $2.7 million.

Ex Machina grabbed $2.1 million at number nine after an impressive word of mouth peak.

Rounding out the top ten was Far from the Madding Crowd which opened in limited release with $1.3 million.

Next week is a really tough call, said Suddenly Susan as if she had gotten this week right. George Clooney takes on the remake that should have never happened. I’ll go with my heart on this one and say Tomorrowland will beat out Poltergeist. Tune in to see if I’m right.
